Summer 2007 brings back a newly rebuilt Disneyland Monorail Fleet.
To be christened as The Mark 7 (The Mark 6 line was built for Walt
Disney World), the new monorails will sport a retro nosecone and
sleek classic contours, reminiscent of the older Mark 3 Monorails
that were replaced in the early 1980's. In preparation for the
new fleet, several areas of the monorail track will undergo
extensive refurbishment, painting and strengthening. Much of the
existing chassis will be used for the new fleet, which means the
Disneyland Monorail line will be down for an extended period of time
late 2006 with a hopeful opening Summer of 2007. The existing
monorail station remained mostly intact with only some cosmetic
changes (originally the station was going to be completely
demolished and rebuilt). [Discuss

Nemo, Marlin, Dory and friends start expeditions starting June 11th. Unique effects, utilizing dry animatronics effects
behind plexiglass offer much more creativity and versatility without
the need for waterproofing. Digital projection effects will be
utilized throughout to bring the computer generated personalities of
Marlin, Dory and Nemo to life. An encounter with Bruce the White
Shark is a possibility, along with other surprises. [Discuss

The Peoplemover track continues to
remain empty, but will be seeing some signs of maintenance as some
tree growth around the track is removed over the next few months.
