This film, starring pop singer Michael Jackson, was the story of a down-on-his-luck space Captain (Jackson) and his crew of zany characters, who hold the responsibility of delivering "the gift".  This gift turns out to be Jackson's signature music style, singing and dance. Using spectacular "4D" effects such as smoke, lasers and fiber optic lighting effects, and not to mention a very LOUD  soundtrack, the film delivered a powerful punch, along with the 3D film. After its run at the Magic Eye Theatre, Captain EO had a short run in Disneyland Paris. The  film was once shown on MTV as well (but not in 3D).

Captain EO will return to Disneyland's Tomorrowland in January, 2010 for a limited run in the currently occupied 'Honey, I Shrunk the Audience' Theater.

Captain EO was directed by Francis Ford Coppola, with the story by George Lucas. The all-star cast included
Angelica Huston, Michael Jackson and Dick Shawn, among others. The show runs approximately 17 minutes. The film was produced for approximately $1 million dollars per minute of film, making it one of the most expensive films, per minute, of it's time.
