What will you celebrate?
April 24th - 5:00AM
Brett and I have checked in. Media Center (Great Moments with Lincoln) opened at 4:00AM.
We will be interviewing Gary Maggetti from the Food & Wine Festival and Denny Newell, the director of Celebrate! A Street party. We will also get a special look at the parade later in the day. Video for both should be uploaded later. We have many events planned throughout the day as well including lunch at the Celebration Roundup and BBQ, and we will experience the Games of Boardwalk along with the Food & Wine Festival.
Various broadcasts are taking place all over the park throughout the day. We will not be attempting any live broadcast during the events.
April 24th - 10:12AM
We just finished our interviews with two great cast members. Gary Maggetti and Denny Newell. They both gave us deep insight into the Food & Wine Festival and Celebrate! A Street Party. We are back at the media center editing photos and video and will be trying to upload as much as we can before our next event at Celebration Roundup and BBQ.
April 24th - 11:00AM
The New BBQ at Celebration Roundup is nice, featuring characters and a generous amount of food. They have BBQ chicken and pork ribs, with corn wheels,(corn of the cob but smaller length-wise) vegetarian baked beans, coleslaw, mini corn bread loafs, watermelon slices and for desert they have cupcakes topped with icing, inside a cone with a mousse bottom. They also have a vegetarian option with tofu and vegetable skewer.
April 24th - 12:30PM
We were quickly rushed off to watch the new "Celebrate! A Street Party" an exhilarating spectacle of music, dance and guest participation. This dazzling street show features an energetic cast of dancers – some atop stilts – and Disney characters who invite guests to join them in the kind of celebration that can only be found at Disneyland. It features 3 dancing styles, Let's Dance, Let's Rock, and Let's Congo then followed by a finale with all the characters riding on the back of bikes along the parade stop.
April 24th - 1:30PM
This is where we learned the most amazing news about "What's Next" with Disney. This presentation was so huge we will be featuring it on a special page soon. A little bit about it, It talked about the new "Summer Nightastic" for the summer of '09. This will include a renovation to Fantasmic!, a new "Magical" firework show, and TLT Dance Club and Pixie Hollow entertainment. Expect an awesome video with pictures and explanations of everything to come in the summer of '09. Oh and by the way start planning for another year of the Summer Fun Pass for So Cal residents. The pass will include 3 days of park hopping for just $99, they did the math and that is just $33 a day.
