Double Click Image for Full-Screen The Swiss Family Treehouse is based on the 1960 film The Swiss Family Robinson. The story is about a family marooned on a deserted island. The tree, is completely artificial, the trunk is made of steel and concrete, the the "leaves" are hand-made vinyl (there are over 300,000 of them). The treehouse towers 70 feet above Adventureland. The views from the tree are priceless, but it takes a lot of leg work to climb the stairways. Similar attractions exist at Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.
