Welcome to Critter Country
Critter
Country is the
second newest land in Disneyland and replaced Bear Country with the
opening of Splash Mountain in 1989. Winnie the Pooh took up residence last
year in the former home of the Country Bear Jamboree. Old favorites
such as The Hungry Bear Eatery still exist.
Nearby, you can get a photo with Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore at certain times
thoughtout the day.
The centerpiece attraction, Splash Mountain, also features a single-rider
option, along with Fastpass. (Winnie the Pooh no longer offers Fastpass).
Shopping includes a newly opened store Pooh Corner with
Winnie the Pooh merchandise, and Professor Barnaby Owl's Photographic
Art Studio offers riders a chance to purchase a photo of
themselves as they plunge down the 52 foot peak of
Splash Mountain.
