No free Disneyland ticket
Beware of “Free Disneyland Ticket” offers on Facebook
Orange County Register
Don’t fall for the “Free Disneyland Ticket” scam that’s going around on Facebook–even though 63,000 people already have. The Facebook invitation offers you free tickets for joining and inviting friends.
Te,, your kids not to fall for this scam–because they’ll never get the promised tickets. And while you’re at it, tell them never to sign up for any “free deals” on Facebook, because you’re not going to be getting that free iPod, iPhone, iPad or anything else they’re promising, but you will be getting ripped off.
Why do companies make these offers? To harvest the information you’re providing them, including email addresses, survey data and more. They appeal to young people, who are less sophisticated and more likely to provide tons of personal information online.

I saw this and honestly... thought about it for a bit because a friend invited me to this group. I decided not to because 1. the required amount of invites was just ridiculous, 2. I'm lazy and 3. I already have an AP. THEN, thinking more carefully about it, realized the onyl "FREE" tickets one can "win" to DL/WDW would be through some radio contest. Disney hardly ever just gives free things away, much less hundreds of free tickets to people on FB just because they clicked invite for 200+ people or however many friends they have. I know better with other random free giveaways, but my judgement was temporarily impaired by the fact it was DL ha.

I've been invited a couple of times. At first I was intrigued too, but I read the comments from everyone saying it was a scam (which I was pretty sure it was). It was tempting though!

Yeah, I figured something was up when I saw this on Facebook too. The old adage holds true: "If something seems too good to be true, it probably is."

It's always ironic when one of the honor students from your high school invites you to get a free Disneyland ticket if a certain page can get 16,000 likes. EPIC FAIL.![]()
Pls.
