Default Possible employment with Disneyland Resort!

    Howdy everyone!

I just wanted to announce that I sent in an application for employment at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim! I got emailed back not even two hours after submitting it, completed an initial online interview, and am now being told I will be able to schedule a follow-up interview with a Disneyland Recruiter within 24 hours! Yes! I am so unbelievably excited and I'm keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that I will be able to land the job! (:

Now, with that said, I have a question. A close friend of the family, who's son is a Ride Operator for Indy, mentioned something about "Disney Dorms"? What's the deal with this? She told me that it's a dorm building for CMs and basically a portion of their monthly paycheck goes into paying rent for their dorm room. I'm highly interested in this because she said it was very close to the park and it would be extremely convenient for an eighteen year old high school grad.

Thanks a bunch! If I do get the job, it'll be my first job ever so if people (especially CMs/former CMs) want to throw some tips or pointers my way, that'd be awesome! (:

Stable Attendant. (: Which includes taking care of the horses at Disneyland and driving the trolleys up and down MSUSA.
It honestly fits perfectly; I have 6+ years of horseback riding experience (which includes a great amount of horse care, etc.) and I love horses a lot. It was an almost-obsession when I was little.

The only way you can stay in the "Disney Dorms" is if you're part of the Disney College Program:

Other than that, you have to supply your own housing.

Congrats! Best of luck to you, or to go with Disney's theatre terminology, break a leg!

That's what I thought too Timmy. Glad you could give that tip!
Indy Chik this is why I had asked if your possible employment was thruogh the Disney College Program. I was more certain that the "Disney Dorms" would be for those involved with the program. But you never know.

    Wishing you the best!

Ah dang! ): Thanks for the info though, Timmy. I have a friend who works there currently, so I might be able to grab a spot at his place temporarily.

Haha. Thank you! (: Let's hope I don't break any legs, that'd be bad.

I heard back from Disney! I'm going in a couple of weeks for an interview at Disneyland. Does anyone have any advice as to what kind of questions they'll ask? Or what kinds of things I should let them know about me? Any advice is welcomed! :)

I hope you get in. My daughter has worked in Circle D for three years. Currently she is on leave. (attending boot camp in the Army reserves). She will be back around the end of Aug. Hope you get it. It is an awesome dept to work in. Horse handling skills are a real necessity in the barn and good people skills for on stage in the petting farm is
very helpful. Circle D is a very unique dept and thus requires very unique skills. Remember Disney high standards apply to all depts. Work hard and you'll have a long relationship with Disney. Once again Good Luck!
