And now we are approaching the most anticipated part of our tour...
The Backside of Disneyson 1!!!!!!!!!
Okay, maybe not so anticipated...
I'm kinda beginning to think starting sign-ups so early wasn't such a good idea. I mean...make no mistake, I'm really happy with the cast so far and I'm SURE we'll be able to pull in at least four or five more to make it complete. I just think posting it so early through a lot of people off. Hopefully people who said they were going to sign up in the official thread will start popping out of the woodwork. I also got someone I've been working with for a LONG time on another site interested in playing. He should be posting his application in the next couple days. The way I see it, even if the cast only ends up being something like twelve people, that's really not such a bad thing since I know every person signing up is going to be a strong and dedicated player. I really want this season to kinda be like Season Six: Redux. Season Six is honestly probably one of my all time favorite seasons simply due to the rivalry between the two teams and the unpredictability of the three surviving members of the underdog team making it into the final three. PL7764 winning was still probably the most surprising and satisfying win ever, and he's probably at the top of my Most Wanted list to be a returning player. But alas, I've turned this into a tangent....Point being, even with a small-ish cast, we can still have really good results. Plus, there's usually a period of down-time after the initial rush of posting the sign up thread to begin with, so really this isn't anything new. Again, I'll start sending out PMs to people who have previously expressed interest some time in the next week or so.

Yeah, the earliness may have been a bit of a turn-off. I still plan to sign up, but I may take a little while.
The way to train is mainly with a brain...
1. What Disney park outside of the Magic Kingdoms and DisneySea do you consider to have the strongest overall design?
Hmmm, I would have to say a tie between Animal Kingdom and Epcot. I believe Animal Kingdom had a very strong design overall during planning but budget cuts reduced it to a zoo with rides instead of a theme park zoo. Epcot on the other hand was amazing at the start but grew weaker with the addition of cartoons, characters ( looking at you ellen ), Destruction of education factor, Cloning, and not updating rides effectively all led to a weaker park.
2. Who is your favorite real-life Imagineer?
Tony Baxter, Mainly because he was involved in my favorite rides such as BTMRR, SM, etc
3. Who is your biggest artistic influence outside of Disney?
Hmm I would have to say Jules verne.
4. What is your history with the game and what are your creative goals for this season outside of wanting to win?
Hmm I made my entrance in season 9, I played as everyone else did until I thought of my evil plan, which was to collect underdogs ( new players )and form a massive alliance to eliminate power players by sending them to outcast island. Part two of that would have been to give the escape power to a underdog so power players would be stuck on outcast island and allowing season 9 to be season of the underdogs. So I began formulating the alliance according to that plan until Future Imagineer pitched another angle to me. to turn the power players against themselves. I thought it was somewhat a little too evil but I thought it could be a decent idea in the long run. But it seems details got out to the power players, exposing PM-Gate at it is now referred to. I left the game to try and stem further damage to the game but decided to come back. thought I left again since the whole season did not sit well with me anymore.
This season I plan on getting in on no alliances ( Outside of all the members on my team ) and just running a honest fun game, My creative holes are to improve my writing and imagineering skills.
5. Are you a purist or an innovator?
I believe myself to be a Classic Innovator which means that there should be a POTC in the Park and a Haunted Mansion in the park but Those things should not be the same as they are now. if that means the ride system is different or different show scenes or just starting from scratch is different from project to project. But I am also just a regular innovator in many other areas like There may be a POTC in adventureland. But nothing else is the same besides that.
*If you want to be a Team Leader, what qualities do you feel you could bring to the table to help lead your team. What makes YOU stand out?
I really don't want to be a team leader since I just want to play without extra responsibilities.
Hello everyone!
1. Definitely Epcot pre-1994. Everything about that park was just so incredibly ambitious and (IMO) they pulled it off brilliantly. If we're talking about current parks, then probably Animal Kingdom. It's easily the best themed park in all of WDW right now.
2. Excluding Tony Baxter? Probably Claude Coats or Marc Davis. Coats was brilliant at atmosphere-setting (something that I think has sadly become less and less prominent within the parks), and Davis knew how to structure attractions better than anybody.
3. Oh gee. Waaaay too many to count.
4. I've never played it before, but I am a friend of tiki's and I'm somewhat familiar with what you have to do. As for goals outside of winning? I guess this is the most cliche answer, but just to have fun and see where I go.
5. A bit of both, I suppose. I'm not against new technology by any means, but only if it's implemented tastefully. I think it just depends on what the project is.

I probably should have just started sign ups on April 1st like I originally said I was going to, I just wasn't sure I'd have time over the weekend. Oh well, not a lot we can do about it now, and I still have a lot of faith that were going to have a really solid cast by the time the first project is posted.
Team Bradbury: Basketbuddy101, ScorpionX, Thrill, FrontierlandFan
Team Asimov: Disneyman1, CostaFreak, Roxasrules, ManEatingWreath
Team Orwell: Futureimagineer, Monkey4057, Comics101, Snoopy

1. What Disney park outside of the Magic Kingdoms and DisneySea do you consider to have the strongest overall design?
Epcot. Hands down. I've yet to visit another park with architecture so awe-inspiring and beautiful. Even with its current slate of attractions, I still find Epcot to be extremely ambitious by most theme park standards. Could improvements be made? Definitely, but that's what this game is for, right?
DHS Hollywood and Sunset Blvds come in a close second place, especially at night.
2. Who is your favorite real-life Imagineer?
Without a doubt Marc Davis. I'm convinced he's everyone's favorite Imagineer, most guests just don't realize it...anyone who has designed so many wonderful classic attractions must be.
3. Who is your biggest artistic influence outside of Disney?
Hmm...gosh I've honestly never thought about a question like this before. I suppose Steven Spielberg. Maybe John Williams depending on how you ask the question (I always listen to John Williams music when working on creative projects...helps to spark the mind)
4. What is your history with the game and what are your creative goals for this season outside of wanting to win?
I've never actually played this game before, but I'm extremely excited about the opportunity. Awhile back on another forum, there was an Imagineering game that went on for a bit of time that I participated in regularly, but it hasn't been played in a very long time. Ever since I've been trying to find another competition to join, and although I've found a few, I haven't really had the time to play. But I can't wait to get started on this one!
My goals this season are to fine-tune my imagineering skills and see how my ideas stand up against other players. Mostly though, I just want to have fun.
5. Are you a purist or an innovator?
I'd certainly call myself an innovator. IMO, nothing is sacred and everything and anything can be plused. That said, a classic attraction is a classic attraction, and although I'm not against updating attractions (PotC, for example) I think all additions should be done tastefully and in a way that won't make the attractions seem stale and dated a few years from their refurbishments (I'm not so certain I would have given the Cap'n Jack additions the green light for this reason...).

I don't think we'll ever be able to re-create the magic of any one season, but I definitely think that next season is going to be absolutely magical. And fun. Lots of fun! And it looks like we're already aproaching the full cast! I can't wait.
And now we are approaching the most anticipated part of our tour...
The Backside of Disneyson 1!!!!!!!!!
Okay, maybe not so anticipated...
So that's ten for sure contestants and two possible contestants! That's awesome! I'm very pleased with being given the opportunity to play alongside new contestants. Welcome all!
When does the season start again?
Pls.
We don't really have a concrete date (which admittedly...is kinda a problem...) but it seems like the general concensus is any time after the 22nd. So I'd say April 23rd would be a good date to start, unless anyone has any conflict with that date schedule-wise. I definitely want to start it with as many people as possible NOT being busy...
