and here were are ladies and gentlemen, the end of our voyage. now there are two docks, but we allways use the one on the right to avoid such a paradox...but if you want to see something really strange at your time here in the magic kingdom, just cross the street, it's really bazaar over there.
i might be a little off, but that is the just of it

it completely caught me off guard and i almost feel off the bench laughing so hard. Not once since then has another skipper done this while i was onboard. That's probably because it isn't easy to do. This guy really nailed it.

The last time I went to Disneyland and went on the Jungle Cruise, the skipper asked if anyone thought the captain should go down with the ship. I jokingly raised my hand(and was the only one). He asked me my name, I said "Sara" and he went "Ok, from now on Sara is the captain". He kept using me in jokes the rest of the ride! Like when he was translating the native chants, he went "We want Sara!"

On a different time that same trip, the skipper translated the chants as "Go Giants", which as a San Franciscan and a die hard fan(which goes for my dad who I was with) we cheered like maniacs.

I LOVE this ride, and never want it to change. It's so much fun and, like many of you, me or my party are the few or only people really laughing and getting excited.

Top two favorites: *BACKSIDE OF WATER of course, I cheer crazily every time.
    * "Get out. Oh, I'm sorry, PLEASE get out." :D
"My Cold dark tower seems so bright...I swear it must be Heaven's Light."

I loved when they used to cite the baboon family - Pat Baboon, Laurie Baboon and of course Debby Baboon.
Also - it's ok to look at the elephants, they all have their trunks on.
and my favorite exit line: you have been outstanding - and soon you will be out standing on the dock.

    thanks for the smiles!

I only heard this joke once, but I was crying I was laughing so hard!

"Trader Sam had me and my girlfriend over for dinner the other night. I told him his wife made an excellent soup. He said, 'I know, I'm going to miss her though.' .....Just kidding, I don't have a girlfriend...."

The jokes make the ride. Usually, I'm the only one laughing like a hyena. It's totally my humor. Sometimes I just wanna yell at the other riders "Laugh people! This is good material! You're at The Happiest Place on Earth!" but, I don't... cause I'd scare everyone and then it would be awkward, and the skipper would feel weird I'm sure.

I laugh at all the jokes though, even the cheesiest ones!

It's not just about the jokes, SO much of it is in the delivery. You gotta' have a naturally funny person as your skipper. I swear you cannot teach comedy to someone. It's sorta like teaching music to a completely non-musical person. They might play the song note-for-note, but it has no soul. I've known several "musicians" like that, and I swear I've had way too many skippers like that, too.

But I certainly appreciate a new joke every once in a while, and I usually kinda' hold my breath to see which jokes are going to be used... and in come cases which punchline is going to be used ("Let me see if I can interprett what they're saying...." "Nope, no idea" or "You put your left foot in, you put your left foot out..." or "dot dot dot - dash-dot dash dash..." or ...)
