Is Dapper Days a certain day every year? I'd LOVE to go for that!
"is the star, everything else is in the supporting role." - Walt Disney
Trivia: In the movie "Cars", the tow truck introduces himself as "Mater, like Ta-Mater without the Ta". However, in French, the joke did not translate so he introduced himself as "Martin, like Aston Martin without the Aston"

Definitely recommend Dapper Day. Gregory missed the part on Tom Sawyer Island, but after we got off Mark Twain we headed across on the rafts and socialized with all the dapper participants. It was tons of fun!

Loved the update! I wish I lived closer; I'd love to go on Dapper Day!
Remember that NOT getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck
Wow! I love it! I totally want to go for dapper day next time. How fun! I bet it felt like you were back in time. I just love how nice everyone used to dress. Thank you again for a wonderful update! Can't wait for the next one =)

I read about Dapper Day and how it's based on the print advertising by Disney in The Old Days. Just want to share that in The Old Days (my first visit was in the first year the park opened) we did dress up. There was a dress code. It has deteriorated over the years but I did see security escort two women in bikini tops over to the newstand at the entrance so that they could buy t-shirts. I like the idea of dressing up again and may try to make it to one of the Dapper Days next year.
Very cool update Greg! I love the Dapper Day. Wish I had the attire to do this too. I am gonna have to buy me a vintage suit and hat. Hmmmm....
Thanks for the update!
A Different Kind Of Company
A Different Kind Of Executioner
Dapper Day reminds me of things like this: Style - Disneyland in the 1950s Notice that nearly every person in every photo is really dressed up. That level of dressiness was the norm at Disneyland through the mid-1970s I'd say.

I saw a show on Tokyo DL a long time ago, and it said that everyone in Japan still dresses up and wears their Sunday best to the parks. I thought that was so cool (except I don't know about high heels). It made the park look even nicer because everyone was dressed up. I don't know if it is still like that in Tokyo or not.

Those people on the riverboat sure are dapper! And BTW, what's that a picture of? Cars Land? Buena Vista Street? What is it, man?
It's the Carthay Circle Theatre, which is the center point of Buena Vista Street.
