I thought Frank Welker is voicing Garfield now?
This is for a movie adaptation of an old Saturday morning cartoon show of the 1980s, "Adventures of the Gummi Bears", about a group of reclusive humanoid bears and a few trusted humans explore their lost heritage and prevent their enemies from exploiting it. You can look at it at several places, including here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disney%...he_Gummi_Bears.
I'm not sure, though, if it should be a live-action movie (with CGI renderings for the bears and the ogres) or a fully animated movie (so it can be part of the animated feature roster). The only things I can think of are for two of the voices of the Gummi Bears. One I was thinking of was to have Vanessa Anne Hudgens (of High School Musical fame) voice Sunni Gummi and Bill Murray to voice Tummi Gummi.
Why Bill Murray, you ask? Well, in "Ghostbusters", Peter Venkman is played by Bill Murray, but in "The Real Ghostbusters", a cartoon show based on the movie, Venkman is voiced by Lorenzo Music, the voice of both Garfield the Cat and Tummi Gummi in the original Gummi Bears cartoon show. When Music died in 2001, producers had to find someone else to voice Garfield in the 2004 movie version of "Garfield", and they settled on Bill Murray. So that's why I've been thinking of Bill Murray to voice Tummi Gummi in this big-screen version of "The Gummi Bears".
What do you think?
