If this happens, that would be so amazing! I love Joss Whedon and I love SHIELD. It's about time we got some good superhero tv shows. R.I.P Heroes.
Marvel S.H.I.E.L.D. television series on ABC
ABC greenlights ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Marvel pilot
Joss Whedon to co-write & possibly direct
Deadline Hollywood
ABC has ordered a pilot for S.H.I.E.L.D., a live-action series from The Avengers writer-director Joss Whedon, Marvel TV and ABC Studios. The project is based on Marvel’s peacekeeping organization found in both the Marvel comic book and feature film universes, including the blockbuster 2012 movie The Avengers. S.H.I.E.L.D. will be written by Whedon and frequent collaborators, his brother Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen. Joss Whedon also is set to direct the pilot, schedule permitting. Production on the pilot, which marks the first live-action Marvel TV project to get a green light, will start immediately.
In addition to S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel TV has a couple of other projects in development at ABC Studios, including a Hulk series.

Bringing Joss Whedon back to television is EPIC!
Agent Coulson returns
Clark Gregg returning for 'Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D.'
Coulson Lives!
The Wrap
Gregg is returning to the world of The Avengers in the television spin-off Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D. Not even an apparent on-screen death can keep Gregg and his no-nonsense S.H.I.E.L.D. alter-ego Agent Coulson away from the action for long. In The Avengers Gregg's murder helps unify the superhero members of the team and spurs them to save the world from Loki and his intergalactic accomplices. "I thought it was something I wasn't going to get to do again," Gregg admitted at New York Comic-Con over the weekend.
The television show will reunite Gregg with Joss Whedon, who directed The Avengers. Whedon will executive produce the series and co-write the pilot. Work on the show is underway for ABC, which, like Marvel, is owned by Disney.
It's not clear how the Marvel team will explain away Gregg's death, but as comic fans know, superheroes have a habit of being killed off only to return in some reanimated form or armed with some ludicrous, death-cheating explanation. "I could be playing the Hulk, maybe Thor's handsomer older brother, but I will be back as someone," Gregg promised. "Maybe someone we know."

SHIELD casting
Joss Whedon's 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' pilot adds two agents
Elizabeth Henstridge and Iain De Caestecker have joined Ming-Na and Clark Gregg in ABC's Marvel TV pilot
Hollywood Reporter
ABC has found two more agents for its Joss Whedon pilot, S.H.I.E.L.D. Elizabeth Henstridge and Iain De Caestecker have boarded the Marvel TV adaptation, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. Henstridge will play science whiz Agent Gemma Simmons, while De Caestecker will play Agent Leo Fitz, a technology guru. The duo spend all their time together — mostly bickering — and are masters of their respective fields at a remarkably young age.
Henstridge and De Caestecker join the previously cast Ming-Na, who will play top-notch pilot and weapons expert Agent Melinda May, and Clark Gregg, who reprises his role from The Avengers as Agent Phil Coulson.

Dalton will play Agent Grant, a skilled rising star within the organization who is described as deadly, precise and cool under fire but lacking people skills.
Dalton, whose credits include Army Wives and Blue Bloods, is repped by Gersh and Brookside. He next appears in National Geographic's telepic Killing Lincoln, due next year.
