Custom Princess figurines in the likeness of your child
D-Tech Me to offer Disney Princess figurines at World of Disney in Walt Disney World Resort for a limited time
Disney Parks Blog
D-Tech Me is expanding starting August 26 at the World of Disney in Downtown Disney Marketplace. This new interactive experience will allow guests ages 3-12 to live out princess dreams by placing their likeness on a three-dimensional 7-inch Disney Princess figurine keepsake!
During this 10-minute experience, several cameras will instantly capture multiple angles of a guest’s face which are reconstructed in a computer for processing. The “princess in waiting” can choose one of seven different Disney Princesses. Hair, skin and eye color of the figurine are customized to match the guest. The completed figurine is then shipped directly to the guest’s home within five to six weeks.
Each seven-inch Princess figurine is $99.95 (plus $15.95 shipping, USA). Guests can order additional replica seven-inch figurines for $74.95 each or a three-inch replica for $39.95. No discounts will be offered.
Reservations are strongly recommended for this limited time experience and can be made by calling 407-WDW-TECH (407-939-8324) starting August 7, 2012.

I think they are creepy too!
Me too! *shivers*
Here you leave today and enter the world of Yesterday, Tomorrow, and Fantasy.
I was there July 17, 2005.![]()
I can see how a little girl would LOVE this! However, looking at the group picture of all the princesses, I have to admit (don't think too horribly of me) that I laughed hysterically! They just look so WEIRD! I wouldn't even be able to tell that the little girl on the far left was trying to be Ariel with the black hair and green dress. The Snow White one is well... um... not super cute! I don't think I could walk past something like that on my shelf all the time without being a bit freaked out. Great idea, but when applied, just doesn't really do it for me. NOT worth $100.

The technology is cool but they look like something that might come alive at night and move your furniture around.

So, I totally laughed at the picture of all the princesses too. I uh.. ya... reading the forum news post, I got excited. I thought "oh cool, my girls would love that!" but after clicking the link and seeing the photos... I.... ummm... I'm a little disturbed! The idea is great, the technology is great... but putting cute little chubby cheeked girls on a princess figurine just makes them look like they don't have a neck (someone had to say it!) My girls would love one I'm sure... but I probably would keep them in their room, or give it to their tutu as a present so I didn't see it everyday.
We should see a "Shrunken Ned Princess" avatar anytime now...![]()
