Couple to visit Disneyland every day ind 2012

Couple trying to visit Disneyland every day in 2012

    Orange County Register
The turnstile clicked for the 100th day in a row Monday for a couple continuing a streak of visiting Disneyland every day in 2012.

Jeff Reitz and Tonya Mickesh got the idea to visit every day in 2012 when the theme park announced it would be open for 24 hours on Leap Day. “I woke up New Year’s Day and decided ‘I’m going to take advantage of that’ and said we’re doing 366 days this year,” Mickesh said.

The daily routine for the annual passholders has them parking for free in the Mickey & Friends parking structure – they’ve kept the daily parking tickets. Then they make their way to the hub, where Reitz posts three or more photos to Facebook from their visit. If they start in the morning, Mickesh gets a cup of coffee from the Market House on Main Street, U.S.A., then they go to Frontierland. “We’ve been keeping an eye on several of the baby ducklings,” Reitz said.

Some days they go on rides.

If I didn't have school/a job/ actual commitments in life, this would be me. Maybe when I'm old and retired.

I question how they're able to afford this if they have been unemployed for so long.

If I lived in Anaheim I would definitely try for this.

It does sound like fun! Too bad I don't live in California. This would be a worthy quest for our first year of retirement! Jeff and Tonya, enjoy!!!

So cool! I would totally do that if I could! I love the quiet times at the park, where I get to sit and relax and take it all in. I don't get enough of those moments on my trips. I always tell my husband the only reason I would move to So-Cal would be to go to Disneyland all the time. =) Maybe when we retire!

Well, it would definitely be fun, but just not possible for my wife and I right now. Just today, my wife and I got parked and we got an emergency call for her to go to work. And then there's my job. Sometimes it sucks to be needed.
