Open Brainstorm - Original Disney Musical

Hey everyone,

I have been thinking for a while about possibly coming up with an all new Disney Musical. It would not be an adaptation of a property, but rather a "jukebox" musical using the Disney music catalog. The show would have an original storyline incorporating the songs, with some rewritten lyrics. We can also incorporate instrumentals as dance numbers. For example, the villian could sing Be Prepared with rewritten lyrics to recruit henchmen.


So what do you think? any ideas?

So I have been working on an idea for a musical plot. Once again, this is all open to ideas and brainstorm. The plot currently involves a young prince who is wanted by the villain for some evil plan involving magic (just coming up with ideas) who during a journey to help save his kingdom, he meets a beautiful princess who falls in love with the prince. The set idea is actually my school musical's set design (It's Beauty and the Beast). The set would involve a series of staircases, two large platforms at different levels, and areas below the platforms. No clue on a full story or overall outline, but here are some songs with their ideas:

I'll Make a Man Out of You (Mulan) - As a part of his long journey, the prince hides away with the army to escape the villain from capturing him. The soldiers would march in time to the music, and practice battle manuvers while hearing the army general's criticism

Be Prepared (The Lion King) - The first of at least three numbers involving the bad guys. Out main villain at first begins recruiting henchmen, only to find his top picks are stupid. Right before firing them, he gets an idea for an evil plan: To rule the kingdom, kill the King and the prince.

Savages - possible war scene (still working on this plotline)

Call Me A Princess (Aladdin Demo) - Princess sings this very interesting song cut from the film, as the Princess doesn't always enjoy being royalty.

Also, a possible instrumental to be used is the Angelica Suite from POTC4. The idea would be this is a dance performed by the main villain, his lover, and others.
