    Default Dating a "D ticket"

I just picked up a D ticket off of ebay. I was curious on how to date the tickets. The # on the ticket is T634749 if that helps.

Here is a pic of it from ebay. I will upload a better pic once i get it in the mail.

    thanks,

Well, I have 2 ticket books from my Grandma's house from 1975/1976 that are numbered: F079640 and F079640 (all tickets have the same book/ticket number). On the back of the ticket book it says "Admission & 15 Adventures in Disneyland...Adult $7.00 (A $13.35 Value) This ticket book has the logo for the America on Parade June 14, 1975 thru Sept 6, 1976. The "D Ticket" attractions listed are:
    Main Street: Disneyland RR Trains
Tomorrowland: Disneyland RR Trains - Mission to Mars - People Mover - Rocket Jets - Skyway to Fantasyland
Fantasyland: Skyway to Tomorrowland - Storybook Land Canal Boats
Frontierland: Mark Twain Steamboat - Mine Train thru Nature's Wonderland - Rafts to Tom Sawyer Island
New Orleans Square: Disneyland RR Trains

I also have 2 other ticket books from my Grandma's house that are even earlier....as the back of the ticket book says "Admission and 13 Adventures in Disneyland....Adult $5.75 (A $12.40 Value). I do not know the exact date of these books, but it must be near or just after July 1974 as the E Ticket lists "America Sings - Opens July 1974"...those ticket numbers are C418684 and C418685. ALSO on the top of each of these tickets are the individual price...A Tickets= 10c B Tickets= 25c C Tickets= 40c D Tickets= 70c and E Tickets= 85c
The "D Ticket" attractions listed from these books are:
Main Street: SF & D RR Trains (notice in these books it's still called the Sante Fe and Disneyland RR)
Tomorrowland: Flight to the Moon - People Mover - SF & D RR Trains - Skyway to Fantasyland - Tomorrowland Jets
Fantasyland: Skyway to Tomorrowland - Storybook Land Canal Boats
Frontierland: Mark Twain Steamboat - Mine Train thru Nature's Wonderland - Sailing Ship Columbia - Tom Sawyer Island Rafts
Bear Country: Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes
New Orleans Square: SF & D RR Trains

So that's what I have....not sure that helps a lot, but there ya go!

Lol thanks. I really love to find an entry ticket from July 17th 1955. Or the 18th too.. being the day the general public first saw the park.

    thanks,

You can often find an approximate date for the tickets by seeing what different rides are on the ticket, and are NOT on the ticket and then finding out when those rides and attractions opened/removed. Also keep in mind what the different lands were called, and when they changed names (ie "critter country" vs "bear country") It takes a little googling, but not too hard to do. Yesterland.com can be a big help.

The image you posted is too small for me to read the attractions (at least on my monitor) but obviously the inclusion of "America Sings" dates it 1974-1988 (and "critter Country" started in 1988 too)

    Default Narrowing the window

Also attractions were promoted or demoted from time to time. America Sings was an E-ticket when it opened in 1974, so this ticket is more recent than that. It was a D-ticket when I visited in 1982, so... We're narrowing the window little by little.

EDIT: I think America Sings was demoted to a D-ticket when Space Mountain opened in 1977. Also, the ticket says PeopleMover thru SuperSpeed Tunnel, which means that it pre-dates 1982's PeopleMover thru the Game Grid of TRON. So, that's a six year window...

Neat! I didn't know they changed the categories and "demoted" attractions.

I keep laughing at the title of this thread...

I've dated some "D tickets" in my time. Even a couple of "C Tickets"... maybe a "B Ticket" or two who looked like an "E ticket" at the time, but it didn't take long to see their true worth.

Luckily I married an "E Ticket". It's quite a ride, even in the breakdowns.
