Exclamation Port Disney--The 5th Park of WDW: Open Brainstorming

This is my open brainstorming thread for what I hope to be the 5th WDW park. It's called

    PORT DISNEY

It's almost based on Tokyo DisneySea, even using the same layout with a few new additions. Here's what it will feature.

    Mediterranean Harbor
Great Barrier Reef (replacing American Waterfront)
    Port Discovery
Dolphin Cove (located between Port Discovery and Lost River Delta)
    Lost River Delta
Ant Island (located between Lost River Delta and Arabian Coast)
    Arabian Coast
    Mermaid Lagoon
    Mysterious Island
Ruby Pier (located between Mysterious Island and Mediterranean Harbor)

Ruby Pier will feature the World of Color show from DCA and Mediterranean Harbor will feature an original show based on Cinderellabration, but this time, based upon the wedding of Ariel and Eric. If you have any ideas for the nighttime shows or the new lands, just post a response!

Well, it's going to feature a dolphin show, as well as a dark ride with the same plot as Disneyland's Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage and an Omnimover ride themed to Pixie Hollow.

Dolphin Cove is going to feature an omni themed to "Pixie Hollow"?? Just a suggestion, why not include a Neverland area in your plans? Thematically, that would make much more sense. I actually really like the idea of Dolphin Cove, I'm just not so sure PH is the greatest fit in that land. I'm wondering if it could work if you placed Dolphin Cove in between The Great Barrier Reef and Port Discovery, and then place Neverland in between Port Discovery and the Lost River Delta?

Part of the deal between the OLC and Disney is that nothing unique to DisneySea including its unique attractions, lands, shops, and eateries cannot be recreated at any other theme park in the world. I'd suggest coming up with something new...

Well, KingMickey is considering doing a 5th park of WDW as part of his renovation thing. Maybe we could use that! Besides, I really wanna find a good use for Ruby Pier, a nighttime show about Ariel and Eric's wedding, but most of all...

    WORLD OF COLOR

That's right, like many people, I wanna bring a copy of the DCA hit to WDW.

Sorry, but I'm not one of the people who want it copied. The only things, I believe, should be copied in parks are classic attractions. DCA needs originality, like WoC.

Weren't there rumors not too long ago of a JttCotE clone coming to DAK? I also think there was a Jules Verne addition planned for WDW's Adventureland at one point, though that could've been before TDS. That's interesting though...I suppose that it just means you can't have a carbon copy of an attraction? TDS shares ToT, the Flying Carpets, Indiana Jones, Fantasmic, and I thought a version of TSM was being added to the American Waterfront, with multiple Disney parks, though each and every one of those attractions have or would have unique elements that can't be found anywhere else in the world.

Notice all you had mentioned were built after their counter parts in other parks. They are being coped by TDS. Most of them aren't even exact copies.

What I should have said is the OLC forbids attractions such as Journey to the Center of the Earth, Sindbad's Storybook Voyage, the unique Tower of Terror storyline, and all of the lands to be cloned anywhere else in the world. So if I were put in charge of Port Disney I would take the general idea of DisneySea and its beauty and make it into something different, if not an alternate to the suggested concept.
    Pls.

Well, do you have any suggestions for a 5th park, MEW?

If you're going to make a park themed to something similar to DisneySea then I'd at least change the name (Port Disney is much too similar), the format, and the general concept. Long before DCA was even thought of, Tony Baxter and a bunch of other Imagineers thought that they'd take Baxter's fantastic Discovery Bay project, put it together with a bunch of other unused or new concepts that had yet to be pitched and turn them into a long-planned second gate. Discovery Bay would be the essential adventure park, a much more mature alternative to Disneyland across the way. The theme park would feature Gold Rush-era San Francisco as its counterpart to Main Street, a land themed to the ideas and creativity of Jules Verne and similar futurists, a dense Amazonian jungle themed to Indiana Jones (this was around the time of Indy's planning), a land themed to Greek and Roman mythology, and many, many other ideas.

The only problem with this is the fact that it sounds a lot like Islands of Adventure. While it does have different lands and theming, when you take a look at it, it's very much similar if not the same basic idea.
    Pls.

Ok I gotcha. So it's not so much the names that matter as it is the actual attraction and storyline. Hmm...If that JttCotE at DAK rumor was true, I wonder how they would've made it different?
