Loved all the posts...I get goosebumps for Fantasmic!!! My most recent goosebumps come when I get to go on a rides with my nieces and nephews for their first time because their finally tall enough. I think it's awesome to see how excited they are waiting line and they get this weird smirk because their trying to act cool but their so excited. I got to go on Soarin' with my nephew on his 1st time...totally choked up, he giggled in excitement the whole ride...it was so cute! He's a little guy so he waited a while to be able to ride. The next time I go to DL my son will be tall enough for Matterhorn...can't wait!!!

Loved all these posts! I have so many in common with you all.

When I was younger, if we were ever on the freeway passing DL, I'd prop my butt from my seat to see the peak of the Matterhorn. To this day, if I am ever passing the parks on the freeway, I have to look. It's nostalgic, and still so exciting.

The moment I pass through the gates! Umm I look ridiculous at that moment cause my smile is often just as big as a five year old's.

Seeing the carousel through the castle, at the end of main street... just welcoming me into the park.

The foyer of the HM. Not only cause it's cold, but because the lights are flickering

Going over the peak on Splash Mountain... it still gives me goosebumps, and making my tummy do back flips.

Climbing the first peak on Thunder...

Flying over London on Peter Pan

Hearing the howls from the Matterhorn

Hearing the sounds of the Tea party music as I walk through Fantasyland (its one of my favorite sounds EVER)

Pretty much the entire start to finish of the Fantasmic and Fireworks shows (haven't seen WOC yet, but I'm sure I'm going to totally freak out)!

and finally... riding the train, full circle at the end of the night to see all that we accomplished that day, and say goodnight.

I think my big goosebump moment is when I first arrive at the esplanade and I can finally hear the music playing and I start dancing and embarrassing myself :)

    Gets me every time!

My goosebump moment is standing at the flagpole on Main St USA, with other military veterans and saluting the flag as it's being brought down for the evening. As a matter of fact it's pretty hard to fight back the emotion and pride that I have because I can do that. Everything else is just pure fun.

Are you part of the flag ceremony? Or watching just as a spectator?

Nope, just a spectator. However, I was a Military Policeman in the Army, and our duties included raising and lowering the flag. Those of us that worked that detail took turns firing the cannon. It was an honor to be able to do that, and I will continue to render honors, even if I'm just a spectator.

I was watching a walk through of Buena Vista Street, Cars Land, and the new Glow with the Show effects on World of Color and I kept getting shivers down my spine. DCA really became an amazing park.

I could almost quote each and every one of your goosebump moments already on here, but that would be a mighty long post!

My family and I visit from Colorado, so the first morning when we walk into the esplanade and can place whatever music is playing, we all kind of look at each other, grinning like little kids (and my papa will usually whistle along, which adds to it in a way).

Not that it doesn't get me every morning, but again, on our first morning in the park for our visit, reading the sign walking into Main Street and then all the smells and sounds as the park is getting ready to open while walking through the shops is just magical (although, what isn't at Disney). As I've gotten older, I love that I can place more of the music they play on Main Street, too.

Whenever we're in NOS, whether it's waiting for the train, using the bathrooms there, or standing in the Mint Julep line, hearing the Morse code and knowing it's apart of Walt's opening day speech.. Gets me every time! Although you don't usually hear the actual speech very much in the park, whenever I listen to my 50th CD and hear/recite the speech, it's that teary-goosebump mixture :)

Like a lot of you mentioned, the smell of Pirates, any of the nighttime shows - those do me in also! One of my last ones is walking down Main Street at night (again, the smells & sounds) but just seeing it all lit up and you can see all the little ones with their new treasures and they're either asleep or smiling; everyone just looks so happy and just knowing it all started with Walt. That's why I like leaving nearly right as the park is closing, to miss the bulk of that - it's so overwhelming sometimes! But I love it and I love hearing "When You Wish Upon A Star" as you leave. That song just embodies Disney for me :)

Two of mine come before I ever enter the park:

    1. First glimpse of Space Mountain.
    2. The first sight of a monorail gliding by as we're walking toward the security check (sometimes even earlier than that)
    3. Gotta love that smell on POTC

    Fantastic thread....and great posts, everybody!

    Here's my "goosebumps" list:

The very first few seconds of POTC....hearing the crickets, the banjo playing on the porch....the frogs....then the skull in the distance starts talking....the first drop down into the Pirate world....I love ALL OF THAT!! You can't beat it.

I also love Soarin' Over California....especially when the clouds part, and there is the Golden Gate Bridge. That sends me everytime!

Like a lot of others, going through the tunnel onto Main Street and looking ahead seeing Sleeping Beauty's Castle is always a special moment.

I should say that another goosebump moment for me is at night when we first arrive for our visit. We usually arrive at the hotel the night before....and just seeing the fireworks from beyond the berm....seeing the Matterhorn mountain in the distance....always sends me as well. My wife even makes fun of me about it!

But you know something? IT'S ALL GOOD!

Love, love, love this! I'm guilty as charged! My family makes fun of me too. But yes, it's all good!
