I like the idea re-theming Gadgets go coaster to Phineas and Ferb. My 6 year old son would love it. I also think that if they re-themed it to maybe Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, it would be a good fit as well. It already seems to have "Handy Helpers" on the track (my son pointed that out) so it wouldn't be too far of a stretch to make it fit in.
Pinocchio: Good-bye, Jiminy.
Jiminy Cricket: Good-bye? I may be live bait down there, but I'm with ya!
Since nobody is talking about removing Toontown, I've changed the name of this thread to Ideas for plussing toontown.

I really think that a ride themed to a more recent TV show like "Phineas and Ferb" would seem quite out of place in a land otherwise devoted to the cartoons of the 1930s and '40s (and Roger Rabbit). Besides, have you ever actually SEEN the roller coaster in the actual cartoon? If not, then may I politely direct your attention to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQXsxZyRAMs. That kind of roller coaster would never work in reality.

I think that building an EXACT roller coaster based on the show would be ridiculous, but to make a PF based ride would not be out of the ordinary. Also, working on updating TT in a way to be more contemporary would still be updating. However, I am more inclined to work on TT to make it more of a celebration of more classic characters and designs than just making it something outdated in twenty more years.
I agree, we should play down as much of anything as possible that may be popular right now but may fade into obscurity a few years down the line.
That said, I was originally thinking about replacing Gadget's Go Coaster with another roller coaster themed to another character. Originally, I was thinking of this as being themed to Goofy, but given Goofy's Sky School over at the CA Adventure, I think we need to come up with someone else. The only one I could come up with is Ludwig Von Drake. Maybe Von Drake could be testing out a new invention and has chosen you for his experimental guinea pig. But the invention (that is, the coaster element) would go haywire.

Von Drake would be a great idea, to play up the older characters that are not generally as popular. Like Clarabelle's food spot that is already there. It would be fun to base it loosely off his stacks of money, like you were swimming in his coins on a roller coaster. It could be part of the bank for TT, is its too gaudy to stand alone. Rides based off shorts more so than features.

HA! I totally am! But, it would be even easier (and probably better story wise) to incorporate Von Drake, since he has talked about so many subjects.
I'm not sure what the name of the Von Drake-themed coaster should be, but maybe the queue (or at least the main load area) could have some of the other inventions seen in the "House of Genius" quickies from MouseWorks and House of Mouse.
