Bookmarking VF on a mobile device

(Did this belong in pet projects? I didn't know. I considered it feedback/question like. So...)

Due to the new release of VF's website I thought I would submit this:



This is the icon/image you see when you bookmark a website to the homepage or "desktop" of a mobile device. Since I'm guessing most of us visit VF quite often, it would be nice to bookmark-it to the homepage. When you do that now, all you are left with is having to frame a part of the webpage to show up as the icon. But when you open that page it always opens it up to the zoomed-in portion. This image allows us to have a great icon while always opening up to a normal page. I have 3 copies of this rounded version for mobile devices. (The predetermined 114- seen here, 72, & 57px sizes for a cross platform compatibility.) And a squared off version for a favicon, as the old one is now out-dated due to the change of the site theme.

I wanted to know if anyone else thought this would be a good idea and would like this. I'll be submitting the 3 other versions in my gallery for the staff's access.

Very cool! I agree the favicon needs to be seriously updated - will see if we can make these happen. Thanks!
