Bob Iger Named to Apple's Board of Directors The Wrap Disney President and Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger has been named to Apple's board of directors, the company announced on Tuesday. The move strengthens the ties between the tech giant and the studio. Until his death in October, Apple co-founder Steve Jobs was a member of Disney's board of directors. “Bob and I have gotten to know one another very well over the past few years and on behalf of the entire board, we think he is going to make an extraordinary addition to our already very strong board,” Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, said in a statement. “His strategic vision for Disney is based on three fundamentals: generating the best creative content possible, fostering innovation and utilizing the latest technology, and expanding into new markets around the world which makes him a great fit for Apple.” by Brent Lang complete article

I wonder how long it will be before those Blackberry phones disappear and they're all carrying iPhones? Certainly bodes well for Pixar - the two companies are becoming more like each other.
