    Question Blackbeard's Return to POTC?

That's right folks, Blackbeard may be returning to Pirates of the Caribbean. For many years (Before the movie character refurbishment a few years ago) Blackbeard appeared as the captain of the Wicked Wench, bombarding the sleeping Spanish port. With Blackbeard now joining the cast of movie characters he may very well be immortalized in the attraction. Where? Well he's not going back to the Wicked Wench. Nope, he's supposedly replacing a recently-added effect: Davy Jones.

Will a holographic version of Blackbeard soon begin appearing in Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean" ride?

SPOILER: Apparently Blackbeard has magical powers in the movie, hence why his face will supposedly replace Davy's on the waterfall.

I don't know how it will work, but I'm a bit divided on it. It'll be great to have Blackbeard return (Not the original, but it's cool) but might be odd theme-wise. Davy fits in with the grotto as he is ghostly and practically undead. It makes sense to have him lurking in haunted caverns. Blackbeard on the waterfall may not have the same effect, whether he has magical powers or not. For all we know he can be undead in the movie. We'll just have to wait until May 20th.

    Thoughts?
    Pls.

Well, if it makes sense with the movies continuity-wise...

But I doubt he's undead, I mean this movie marks the first time they use historical figures, so why make one undead? Then again, voodoo powers... I'm just gonna wait May 20th and afterwards to find out...

Well if they at least get rid of the inconsistencies during the ride then I am good with it. You can't keep telling people dead men tell no tales at the start only to have squidface tell you they do at the end only to find the shops sell merch that says yes. So Thus get rid of squidface and all will be good! They already destroyed the ride so anything now will either cement it's death or help to change it for the better.

I agree Ex. I really don't like that he says, "Dead men DO tell tales" Ugh. Hopefully that will go away.

I think I know exactly where he will be appearing. If my guess is correct, he will not be replacing Davey Jones in the mist waterfall, his hologram will be in the waterfall on the left side of the boats after the second drop. Currently, there is a hologram effect of the pirate skull and crossed swords that appear in the waterfall, but when you can see behind the water it disappears. That is my guess anyway.
