I WAS a medic in the Air Force for 21 years, I just recently, April 20, 2013, retired from service. I served in major events such as Desert Storm, George Bush Sr edition, Operation Noble Eagle, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Hurricane Katrina/ Rita relief efforts as well as other lesser known campaigns and deployments. My trips always culminated in Disneyland Paris, which I was lucky to talk to it's primary designer, Tony Baxter, and the designer of the dragon under the castle Terry Jackson, both awesome and creative people. I also have been to Walt Disney World. Who does not get stationed in Florida and go to WDW?!? Shades of Green is awesome! And since I live out here on the West Coast, Disneyland is home base since 1969.
I grew up on Disney, Daniel Boone, Davy Crockett, Mickey Mouse Club, Wonderful World of Disney, Apple Dumpling gang, etc. I have one more job to shed before I can apply to the Park as a retired guy drawing an extra check and enjoying making people happy. As my avatar and stage name suggest, I am an avid fan of Walt's private little railroad.
I am a hobbiest now. I am currently building the Olszewski Disneyland Main Street, I need 7 more pieces to complete my table. Very exciting to work on such a beautiful piece and surround it with not one, but 2 beautiful trains. I have the Lowell Smith CK Holliday and the Bachmann EP Ripley. I also am currently working on a backyard "Garden" scale model of aspects of the Park as well. My theme will be aspects and buildings of Frontierland, New Orleans Square Station, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and a center piece of a 5' long Mark Twain. Garden scale is large and 5' is 1/24 scale which is what the trains and buildings are.
Feel free to message me, chat, whatever. When I figure out how to post photos, I can share my projects with you all.
Thanks.
