    After the New Year would be best for me; next to impossible to schedule time off form work before then... but at least I have a steady job...

    How about a Thu-Fri-Sat trip? Carpooling would be great -- if I leave Petaluma at 4:30 ish I usually get to DLR around noon, including rest stops.

    My regular days off work are tue-wed-thu. A midweek meet would fit in nicely, hotels would be cheaper, and since you & Pam are also NorCal, maybe we could carpool (although 1AM is way too early, even for me...)
