Default Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

I've been to WDW a couple of times. However, I've never been to the water parks. If you can only go to one, which one will it be?

I seriously think most folks perfer TL. I just think its better because its tropical (then again I do live in Georgia which is hardly even close to being tropical).

Have to voice my vote for TL too..The theming is great and there is just more to do besides the waterslides. The shark reef is fun too, ok not huge but still kewl to snorkel with them!!

I think they both look neat, I've never been. We plan on visiting both a few times when we go down...

They are both definitely worth it, I think you just get a little more bang for your buck at Typhoon Lagoon.

we will have a 12 year old with us, and while we are from 'the arctic' some of the stuff for his age group at the park looks fantastic...

but he's totally into the idea of the shark reef at TL... so it's a good thing "Magic Your Way" passes come with the option of the water parks (though it sucks we only get passes for 6 days when we're staying at Disney for 10... whatever lol we'll just hang at the pool at the hotel)

they both have their ups and downs. blizzard beach has summit plummet, but lacks that HUGE wavepool at TL. TL has the kinda new Crush N Gusher, wich was REALLY fun. BB has the downhill racer thinghy that i forgot the name of, TL, the atmosphere of the tropical islands, but you have to hike to get to the rides. BB has the ski lift and, if you are not afraid of hieghts, is a quick, easy way to get up the mountain. i was there just last summer. in the end, i like TL more, but BB is right up there too

It could have been my mood but when my family went down we enjoyed BB alot more than TL. Don't get me wrong th wave pool at TL is more than awsome. But we had more fun BB.

I've never been to BB, but I did go to Typhoon lagoon. They have a snorkle with shark exhibit (which, imo, you can pass because they also have an observation glass that you can look through, and while you aren't exactly swimming with them, you still can admire them without having to wait in the line. Also, other then swimming with them, you don't come close or allowed any real interaction with the animals so you might as well just look at them through the glass). But thier slides are fun, most of them are family slides, save 2. They have a wedgy steep drop ride as well as the crush-n-gusher. Steep drop ride is like any other, and is pretty mediocre, but the Crush-n-Gusher I could ride all day. Its espcially fun to put your hands and the air and feel your butt float off the seat. (Not that you're suppose to do that...) Its definately the best ride at the park.

They also have a mediocre wave machine which launches one large wave every 5 minutes, and since its only one wave, its very underwelming, regaurdless of the size of the wave. The Lazy river looked pretty cool, though I did not actually float through it.

They have several other family oriented body slides and raft rides. They weren't any thing special, but fun none the less.

Overall TL is a very relaxing water park which you would probably try to enjoy differently from other types of water parks. Half the time we ran around and took pictures, and basically just enjoyed the scenery besides just going on the slide. We spent a good portion of the day there (from 10 - 2:30) and we pretty much did everything we wanted to do. We then went to epcot later that night and enjoyed Illuminations as well as Mission:Space and Test Track. (Unfortunately that's all we got to experience from Epcot as our trip was more about all Floridian theme parks and not just WDW Resort)

But let me get back on topic. Typhoon Lagoon is a fun place and worth checking out.

If your into thrills, Blizzard Beach by far with one of the world's tallest water slide, mat racers, family raft, speed slides, very nice park. Plus it has a chairlift. :)
