I really don't see how a show about people humiliating themselves on TV actually would work in a theme park. Oh what has disney come to these days with coming up with new attractions for their parks.

The SHOW itself is not about humiliating people. The people who go and audition and act like nuts are the ones who want to get on tv and be humiliated for fun. Its all in good corny tv.

American Idol is about the dream of being on stage in front of millions doing something they love to do. Perform and sing!

Many people out their only DREAM of being able to sing onstage in front of an audience. That's what Disney is trying to do. Make that dream of being a star a reality for their guests. (Cause you know..its just hard to get on th actual show. Thats why the golden ticket thing is a great award for the winner haha). I think this attraction is pretty cool and hope it keeps doing well. A friend of mine recently went and really enjoyed it. One of her favorites of the Hollywood Studios now. She said their was a couple good people and couple not so good people...

Well, I would suggest visiting DHS and seeing the American Idol Experience live in person to see just how it really does work.

It does take a good deal of proving of ability before anyone is selected as a contestant. If they sound awful in auditions, they don't make it to the stage. Then, all contestants practice on stage before the crowd is let in to get all the kinks worked out. It's a quality experience for contestants and audience alike, and a great way for east coasters, who are not spoiled by living in close proximity to the real Hollywood like we are, to feel like they've actually been at an American Idol show itself. The "American Idol Experience" lives up to its title.

^ It would be very nice, but being out west where AI is taped...it would be a little funny. Plus, sorry to say as an Idol fan, and I never thought I'd say this, but...I think the show has had its run. With Paula dropping out now and all...its just kinda loosing it.

first i think that this attraction came 4-5 l=years late...

2ndly the notion that the AIE night show takes the place of Fantasmic! just boggles my mind. Even the most die-hard Idol fans would must likly rather see Fantasmic! on the night that they're in the park.

I think so too. And plus, this doesn't sound as fun as the older show that was there (the chroma key thing).
