American Idol Experience......hmmmmmm

What do you thinks bout it? I think the first few months it will have novelty to it, but after that, I don't think it will go over well. Especially if American Idol gets canceled. What do you think???

Well I dont think American Idol will go out anytime soon. But it will get a kick for some people.

I am just really upset that they are going to be cutting the fantasmic shows down to two days a week when they start this experience. The american idol attraction cant even hold as many as fantasmic....

The concept is good but the show's planning seems not that thought out IMO

I think it's currently scheduled to open in January 2009. Of course, the opening date will probably be pushed back.

I don't know about this attraction. It just seems out of place in a Disney park. I just hope Disney realizes that viewers have begun to lose interest in American Idol and that an attraction like this can't stay around forever. I think Disney built this attraction a bit too late...

I think you're right on the nose here. American Idol is on the downward slide in terms of popularity. It's a fad show, and fad shows are far from timeless.

They should have made this attraction when American Idol started. Disney waited a little too long for this.

American Idol may be on the downside of it's popularity, but talent competitions have always been popular and will be around forever. This attraction could easily outlive the show.

However, for me this attraction holds no interest whatsoever and I think it is beneath Disney. I wish they would abandon this idea and go in a different direction.

I agree with that in the Disney perspective(disney as a whole) that it does not fit the parks...but it does work with the theming for Disney's Hollywood Studios....The them of it is showbiz...this new attraction works with that theme. But at the same time it will not work out well if American Idol the tv show dies out....
