Default The Grosvenor Resort

Does anyone have any information on this place? I am mostly interested in how close it is to the parks, how do you get to the various parks, etc.. basically location...

Thanks for your help!

I think your best bet would be their official website: http://www.grosvenorresort.com/

I have never stayed there, but I have stayed in hotels in that same area. It is located in the Downtown Disney Resort area. Don't let this fool you, it is not owned by Disney. You will not be picked up at your hotel by a Disney Resort bus to be taken to the parks...but by the hotels shuttle bus. Which at the moment is Mears (I believe) And they take FOREVER to get you to and from the parks. And they don't take you anywhere near the water parks. And if anyone in your party needs special assistance...don't hold your breath with their drivers. I say if you are staying there, then rent a car or drive your car to Orlando; so you can drive to the parks. Just keep in mind that if you drive a car to the parks, you will have to pay for parking at the parks. You will be in walking distance of Downtown Disney, (If I have the map right in my head) you will be right across the street. What I have done, is gone to DTD and picked up a bus to one of the resorts close to the park I wanted to do, then caught a bus to the park from there. But it is very time consuming.

^ I tried doing that once, taking a bus to a resort and then resort to park. Not knowing which one I picked Grand Floridian, just out of the blue, and I ended up making a stop at Typhoon Lagoon. Then had to wait for the Monorail to Magic Kingdom on the Resort line. Total time: 75mins. Not recommended.

Well I had it down to a pretty good science. If I was going to MK, then I would get a bus to the Contemporary from there I could either walk over to MK or take the monorail over. If I was going to AK then I would get a bus to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The buses from there run pretty close together. So the wait was not that long. When I went to MGM, I took a bus to The Yacht and Beach club, from there I took the boat to the park. The same for EPCOT, I took the bus to The Yacht and Beach club and then walked in through the International Gate way. So a trip for me never took 75 minutes, but I did have one take about 30 minutes. But its the waiting for the right bus to show up at DTD early in the morning that can really drag out the wait.
