In a couple of weeks I will be visiting WDW with my girlfriend. Her birthday falls during our trip and for her birthday she will spend an afternoon at the Grand Floridian Spa. We would like to eat lunch together before her treatments but our dining options in the northern empire are unfortunately very limited.
Right now I am a heavy lean for Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom. I checked the menus for LTT and the food is nothing to get excited about -or at least that is what I am assuming based on the menu descriptions. I have also looked into dining at the surrounding hotels (Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge) but the only restaurants open for lunch are the coffee shops. I don't have a problem with any of the resort coffee shops but their lunch offerings are again limited and not any more exciting than the LTT. So if you have a recommendation of a place that I might have missed or you think that a particular dish is exceptionally good for lunch I am all ears. We are on a dining plan so price is not an obstacle for us and won't weigh on our decision. Thank you in advance for your help. |

You are connected to Epcot via monorail and a simple transfer at the TTC. If you consider that easy transportation to Epcot your menu options get wide open. I love sitting by the tank at Coral Reef (Living Seas). Le Cellier (Canada) is great. I love Norway but it is now a princess character easting place. Still nice. The Garden Grill at The Land is very good too. If you make a morning of it you can 'eat around the World' by hitting several World Showcase places.
