Default Who dislikes the Carnival Area of Animal Kingdom?

I absoulutley hate the Chester & Hester carnival area in Dinoland, U.S.A. Okay 1st of all Walt never liked those rides & people don't come to a Disney park to go on "rides" they come to go through different voyages & adventures they should get rid of that place & fill it with attractions!
Anybody agree with me?

well, i like wild mouse coasters, so i like that area. maybe walt would not have liked it, but it is still very popular with the crowds.

I agree with mickeymania1.
I like the spinning dinosaur roller coaster (is that still there?) but really, I don't go to Disney to go to a carnival...

I understand that it is not exactly the image that Walt would want to have, but I like the area. It gives a fictional view on Dinosaurs with a fun and safe carnival area. I think it sort of fits in with the area. It's kind of like giving a view of a place that is not always pernament just like how the dinosaurs were. Just a weird way of looking at it.

But I do understand what you are saying.

Could be worse, it could have been a land based entirely off the Dinosaur movie. At least Primeval Whirl is awesome.

I enjoyed Primeval Whirl yes, but the entire area didn't captrue the essence of Route 66 like it should have! Yes yes, I know that it's not supposed to resemble Route 66 and instead resemble the dinosaur playlands that inhabited the California landscape throughout the 50's and 60's. In my opinion, they should make it how it really is! I live about 30 seconds away from Route 66 minutes away from the I15. To be quite frank, if you go East, there's the Victoria Gardens and a bunch of other tourist areas (nothing involving dinosaurs). If you go West though, there's more of the dinosaur tribute stuff, such as playlands, museums (littles ones though) and various tourist traps and memorabillia stores themed to dinosaurs. It kinda bugs me, but that's just me :) There is though, one area in there that resembles the real thing and it's the big McDonalds restaurant near the Dinosaur ride. That building looks exactly like one of the shops near us off of Route 66.

I think I might be in the minority of those who strongly dislikes Primeval Whirl. It's not so much the concept or what have you that I don't like. I went with my room mate and her boyfriend. They decided to sit together and I was in the one row by myself. BAD IDEA! Each turn you take (if you sit alone that it) you get thrown from one side of the cart to the other. I literally got bruises from it on my thighs and legs. Once again this is just my opinion.

I dunno, its kind of like the comments about the Laugh Factory not fitting into Tomorrowland, I personally think its cute but too campy. I guess its for kids, because me as a grownup Id like to see something that gets more into the parks character. I love PW too, but I personally would love for them to have gone with the plans to showcase creatures of myth and legend. Dragons, Unicorns, the Kraken? o so Sea World has the Kraken sown up, but still it would have been fun.

I mentioned it allready in a totally other section of posts... (about some fictional Disney Sea proposal for Disney California, because quite a lot of that is Scrap... and I agree...)
Well, just a strong and endless nooooooooooooooooooooo to the stupid fun-fair rides you find EVERYWHERE (local amusement parks, beachside amusement parks... even touring-around fun fairs.. it is ALL the same! ) and then some brainless Disney people smash it down in several Disney parks....
They are readymade/available cheap, isn't it !??? Is THAT the reason why ?????????? They are UGLY!!! In the mids of all the other ugly things on a fun-fair, it makes a "typical temporary chaos", but it is out of mind to bring this stuff to a themepark... if you still believe in that name...
No indeed , Walt would burn them down personally !!!!!

No, Tarzan Rocks has been replaced by Finding Nemo: The Musical.

A lot better than Tarzan. It's a 45 minute musical with fish puppets :)

I don't really think that area even fits in the with rest of the part. It's supposed to be about Animals, alive, or extinct. I just don't think the Carnival theme was a good choice.

I have never been to Animal Kingdom, but I know the stuff that goes on there.

I have seen a lot of Dinoland, and for me the place is nothing special.
As for Primevial whirl...
I don't get wild mouse rides. I've been on many, the normal ones and spinning ones alike.
They all seem to be the same, reused coaster over and over again.
You go up the lift, make some sharp turns, several drops, more sharp turns, and you're done.
I don't see the thrill in them, even though Disney attempts to theme them, the themes are nothing special nor do they have any such "wow" factor that is commonly found on other Disney attractions. Like the Dinosaur ride nearby Primevial World. When Disney brings these rides to their parks (Mullholland Madness, Primevial World), I just hope they find a proper replacement for them in the future for things that are much better than a wild mouse.
