awwwwww I love the hat at MGM!

isn't the tree actually made out of concrete and the oil rig is basically teh spine??? I can't remember the travel channel's big schpiel on the whole thing, but I have it on DVD somewhere (I seriously record every travel channel special on Disney... how sad is that? LOL)

Tree of Life is an artifical tree engineered from a retrofitted oil platform. Can't say if concrete comes into it or not. My guess would be that it's similar to the rockwork we're seeing in the Sub Lagoon. Concrete structure (Tough to Be A Bug show theatre) wrapped in steel beaming & other stuff used to make the carvings and wood.
