Default Dinosaur

Who likes the ride? I love it. It sometimes reminds me of Indy back in DL.

Thats because it's the same exact track layout, and EMV type ride. Though, it is no where near to as good as Indy ride is.

It's not the exact same track layout, it's more toned down & level, but it's the same type of ride.

Since it is toned down intensity-wise, much more open & level since you're supposed to be outside searching the grassland for a certain Dinosaur instead of escaping from a Temple, it's not going to seem as thrilling as our Indy.

I didn't care much for the ride as much of its history is flat wrong, and for some reason we seemed to have been assisting a bad guy who wins.

The ride just doesnt make sence, from the vids ive seen on youtube, it doesnt even have anything to do w/ the movie Dinosaur other than simliar cherectors. It makes no sence. Because yeah.

It used to be called Countdown to Extinction but they changed the name to Dinosaur because of the movie. However they did not add any elements from the movie like they did with POTC.

I cant really remember but doesn't it still say 'Countdown to Extinction' somewhere on the outside of the building or it says 'Dinosaur: Countdown to Extinction'?

^ i thought it did. Anyways, I liked the ride. Some of the animatronics were very cool and so were the sound effects. But it wasn't as cool as Indiana Jones.

...thank goodness...

Dinosaur is a great attraction, and the dino AA's pack a whallop. However, it just can't compare to Indy. Indiana Jones has an amazing storyline, an awesome queue, convincing special effects, etc. Dinosaur... it's a great ride, but PMM has a point. The storyline doesn't make too much sense. (I also wish they hadn't changed the name... Countdown to Extinction fit much better.)

I would've liked to ride countdown to extinction just to see the ending part I hear about the dinosaur chasing alongside your vehicle. I have jaws dinosaur style in my head but maybe it was even cooler?

It's more in the middle of the ride.
He comes at you from an angle. Think when two cars come to a yield sign and both go at the same time.

I really love this ride. I cannot compare it with Indiana Jones though, since I have never been on it. Being on the east coast, I dont get to DL that often, unfortunately. The few times I have been there, the ride was always closed for breaking down. Does the Indiana Jones ride really break down that much, or I have just been unlucky? I would love to try riding it next time I come out though..
