I just realize something. The movie "The Circle of Life" tells about the enviornment. Kids are learning about the enviornment from Simba. Personally, I don't like the film (only been on once), but Nemo is doing the same thing, only they're teaching kids about the ocean.

Yes but the Land pavillion has not been re-named The Land with Simba and Friends.

True that, my friend. And I don't really mind the Simba one.

eh, I don't like the film either. but that was what disney usually did. although it came after symbiosis. it was a small example of character placment. nemo is the whole pavillion. I honestly think the pavillon is amazing though. once again,if coral reef isn't tocuhed, I'm fine

As I said before, A little Nemo to spice up the pavillion is OK but having him take over the pavillion is against the essense of Epcot.

^^My thoughts exactly. I could possibly understand a character getting a small pavilion in MK or maybe even MGM, but NOT in EPCOT in a ESTABLISHED ride. If this is what it takes to get kids to pay attention not screw with the ocean, we have a serious problem with the generation below mine! They're growing up as ignorant (if not more so) than we were to the problems we're creating environmentally.

Yeah, Circle of life is still character placement, even though Nemo is the whole pravillion, which is obviously bigger.

I personally think the pravillion is okay. The ride is kind of bad, but I only have seen pictures and videos of the pravillion. I just think Nemo is something to do to spruce up the place. But it probably won't last past 10 years.. right?

of course it is. Disney has to honor it's characters in some way. they sort of owe to them. no need to overdo it. Like nemo as I do admit is a bit overdone. but I still am blissfully unaware of the problem you peeps have with Nemo in the living seas. not the worst thing that Disney has ever done. I mean look at the replacement of the original original imagination. something to get mad over indeed ( which you peeps do). I won't deny that the change angered me a bit too. I miss the hydrolaters. the gift shop is the replacement. of course the name change I think was unnecessary . but the ride actually was kinda nice. the original ride simply was just an automated tour through the living seas... I still love the place all the same. the obvious showing that Disney seems to love to dry out their products doesn't bother me because I've seen it before. when it is HSM...thats a different story. I've seen it every where before. why not argue about the disgusting facade at the studios for the motor stunts show....now I'm just getting off topic. but there are other annoying things in Disney they we let annoy us. for good reason. I'm sick and tired of stuff like "the High school musical pep rally". stuff like that. but IMO,compared to the blatant character and product placement Disney is responsible for (they seem to not understand that less is more. and I'm sure one of you would jump the "year of a million dreams" tram. ), I do think some things could be toned down, to go back to it's Epcot roots.but nemo wasn't badly done

but of course...how could I forget that pure monstrosity of character placement: the new Mexico ride....yuck!. that my friends is worse than the nemo update.

Agreed. It's good to see a little Disney characters, just not too much.

off topic:
I shouldn't have "The Circle of Life" as an example, but this is coming out of someone who went on only once and found it boring.

Honestly I think they should revamp the Seas 2 the way it was orginally but then maybe throw nemo in just a tad...enough 2 realize he's there but not basing the whole attraction on him...like have the actual fish the characters were based on a maybe TT but other than that bring back the original! And I also guess I'm ok with how it is now just as long as we don't get something like "HSM teaches about the seas"...then i would prob not go back again ever!
