In The Book : The Disney Mountains: Imagineering At It's Peek, By Jason Surell, Says That Epcot Was Going To Get A Matterhorn Bonsleds Attraction Like Disneyland's , But Never Came. Should Epcot Get A Matterhorn?

why would they do that? they already have expedition everest at the animal kingdom witch is pretty much a new updated 10 times bigger and faster matterhorn. the things that make the matterhorn great is
1. it is a Walt Disney original
2. it has become a California landmark
3. it is the first tubular steel roller coaster in the WORLD
it wouldnt be as good if you just cloned it somewhere else

No it should be unique to Disneyland like Alice in Wonderland, Finding Nemo Subs, and Remember Dreams Come True.

there are some rides better left unscattered. having Matterhorn in WDW is like having a smaller version of everest. so no.

Where would the Matterhorn even go in the WS? There is no Swiss pavillion. I love the fact that the MH is unique to DL and I hope it always is.

I was just reading that Disney was in negotiations with the Swiss government back in the 80's to sponser a pavillion but the Swiss pulled out before anything could be built.

It would appear that the Swiss pavillion/Matterhorn idea was being kicked around long before Expedition Everest came to be. Now that EE is in DAK, I can't see a Matterhorn ever being built in WS or anywhere else in WDW.
