I agree that the animation is great and Eric Goldberg is a great animator but it just does not belong in Epcot.

I'm pretty sure it's the same actors that voiced them in House of Mouse, but I would like clarification.
In case you don't know who does the voices of Jose and Panchito in House of Mouse, they are voiced by Rob Paulsen (Jose) and Carlos Alazraqui (Panchito).

Anyway, do those two voice the characters in the ride or are they entirely different?

I personally did not like El Rio because it started out cool with the ancient culture then turned into a Mexican Small World ride. Part of the reason we were told that Mexico had some issues originally is that the governments are expected to help sponsor their pavilion and the outcome of the design was based on the expected funds and contributions.

Anyway, I would like to see this version before passing judgement. They did need to do something. And guys, I mean come on, it is Walt Disney World so you've got to expect Disney to be there.

I agree El Rio Del Tiempo was not the greatest ride ever. The ancient Culture scene was very cool and historacly accurate. The Rest was full of stereotypes and Weird Carousel Puppets. The idea of putting the Three Cabbeleros is not neccesarily a bad thing but the execution was done poorly. Its just Jose and Panchito looking for Donald with no educational value and is out of place at Epcot.

And on an even more positive note, there are absolutely NO references whatsoever to Pixar!

Let's not get carried away with this "Epcot has to educate" business. It IS a theme park. If I want education first and entertainment second, I'll go to the library!
P.S.: Gran Fiesta is a fun little dark ride.

If you like to measure the worth of a change by how much the demand has increased or decreased, it's getting about the same crowds as it did as El Rio De Tiempo so... *shrug*

This ride confused me a little. It was like Pirate and IASM all at the same time, except it's about the Three Amigos.

The thing about Epcot is it can educate you and entertain you simoultaniousley. I have learned more about life in Epcot than anywhere else why because the rides teach you about the world with subjects like Communication,Energy,Space, the Future ,Transportation etc.
Epcot is a treasure because it teaches and entertains.
