Test Track is a terrific ride that's originally themed and not done on the cheap, and the same can be said about Mission Space. Certainly nothing to yawn about with Mission Space, and I was really impressed with its theme of teamwork. The addition of Soarin' offers another E-ticket that's originally-themed and brings people into The Land pavilion. That was a great idea to do it that way I thought. It made me spend more time in The Land than any other pavilion as named like Ellen DeGeneres turned me in the other direction.

E-tickets, dark rides, shows like American Adventure, a fireworks show that totally blows you away in IllumiNATIONS, and the best theme park practical joke ever in 'The Beverly' all make Epcot a fantastic park.

I dont think Soarin belongs in that lineup.

I remember when I went to Epcot in 1998 they had that "Ice Station Cool" which was like walking through a big ice cave and dropping you off into a shop with free coke sodas from around the world! Do they still have that there?

Ice Station Cool has been remodeled into Club Cool. Beverly is a palate clearing aperitif that has a less than appealing flavor to most.

As for EPCOT overall, having very clear memories of what it used to be and what it is now makes me wish they expanded rather than remodeled. I love Mission Space but Horizons was one of the best dark rides around. Test Track is incredible and, while I miss World of Motion less than Horizons, it was still a really good attraction. It is too bad those could not have been additions to the park rather than changes.

As for the rest of Future World, I do not have a problem with repurposing the Living Seas. This is a neat pavilion, but I always thought it lacked something - maybe a Nemo redo will help. I miss the original Living with the Land boat ride - Listen to The Land was a great soundtrack for this attraction. And speaking of music I miss - Tomorrow’s Child in SSE. Overall, the changes/updates in these attractions (while I do not think necessarily improved them) were OK. I do not believe the same can be said of the abomination that is Journey into Imagination. If the current attraction were the original, I would think it was a cute ride. But unfortunately, what it replaced was incredible and it makes the current attraction look horrible in comparison.

World Showcase is just downright awesome. While it could have a few more attractions (I just don't have to see movies in France, Canada, and China on every trip - even circlevision movies), there is little, in my opinion, to complain about. It is a neat snapshot of a bunch of places I may or may not get to visit in my lifetime. It is not like going there, but you can get a feel. Besides, without World Showcase, how could you take a beer tour of the world?

My two cents - EPCOT is my favorite! It has the best rides and the some good eating spots. The crowds move right along with the way EPCOT is set up. Having a pint in Germany is not bad either....

Epcot is my favorite park & all but good grief, did they have to make it such a labyrinth?!

Worst. Park Navigation. Ever.

This is definitely more of a park for adults. Its my wifes favorite and probably my second favorite behind AK. Sure there is alot of walking, but its fun to see and learn a little about different cultures and countries. There is a new interactive game there that is testing for kids based on the Kim Possible TV show thta the kids really seem to love so in that sense Epcot is trying to help make learning fun for the kids.

The boat ride is still there :)

They added Soarin' onto the Northeast part of the pavilion. Living with the Land takes up most of the Southeast side.

Soarin does not belong in EPCOT. It has nothing to do with the theme of the park.

But it does have to do with The Land. I heard that the current video is just temporary.

That's what people say to pacify those whining about the fact it's a clone. Star Tours has been awaiting a new film for years & look how long that's taken even post-Eisner.

That's true.
For me, I still think that Star Tours and Soarin' Over California/ Soarin' are great rides.
I wish they would start kicking things into drive instead of always worring about these major celebrations. Just a new video for Star Tours will bring in alot of the Star Wars fans and alot of the Disney fans. Then have a few new things to help boost the redesigned attraction.

Going off topic:
There's alot of clones out there, It's sort of sad when there's two exact attractions in the same country. If they could use the same ride technology, say like Soarin', but design a different video or concept for it.
I mean, some clones are nice because they're not the exact same, they have different ride styles. For example: The differnet Space Mountain's, Big Thunder's, and Splash Mountain's. There are more of course.
