Default Which was the best version of Spaceship Earth?

I grew up going on the 3rd version with the Jeremy Irons narration, but I have seen a video of the Walter Cronkite version(with "Tommorrow's Child").

Irons hands down. i love the descent song along with pretty much the rest of the music. The narration is so grand, and unforgettable.

Judi Dench wouldn't be too far behind, but that ending is so embarassingly bad...

I've never been on any version of it, but it seems unanimous...Jeremy Irons was the best.

Jeremy Irons defintely. Judi Dench is defintely an honorable actress...but her narration somewhat dumbed down the ride. they could've done a bit better with her narration. I mean...maybe I don't want to thank the Phoenicians . perhaps I would rather thank my kindergarten teacher who actually taught me what the heck the ABC's were. and seriously. such a majestic narration such as "but these same roads were turn against rome by invaders which would leave ages of wisdom and knowledge in the ashes which would becom the dark ages" changed to oh...we lost all that knowledge. it became the dark ages. I mean now unforunatley,I can't annoy people with actually knowing the whole narration word for word. I sadly can't even recite "attention travelers, please remain seated, your vehicle is rotating backwards for your return to earth" properly anymore. its dated.

I think they should put that message on the video screen instead of annoying you while you are enjoying the sights.

Then what happens when a blind person who's riding thinks there's something wrong and starts panicking? I know, I know, but safety notices are all about compliance with rules put in place by scary corporate lawyers.

I know this is sort of invalid, as I have only been on the Irons and Dench versions, but here goes:

Gran Fiesta Tour is a perfect example of how an already good ride (in this case El Rio del Tiempo) can be redone but still be just as good as the original. No matter what could be done to the Irons version, it would not be as good. On a scale of A-F, the Irons version is an A+. The new version is a toss-up between and a D- and an F. The first half is a C- while the ending is a D. I actually came close to tears seeing what happened to the invention of the theatre. The Irons ending (I"m talking full descent sequence) was possibly the best thing in Epcot. The new descent works somewhat as an Innoventions exhibit but not as a ride ending. My picture didn't even appear. And the touch screen at the beginning is so flawed I wanted to exit the ride that early. And as for Dench, no one could top Irons. And what was with the whole "ABC's" line? That totally dumbs down the ride. As a result of this version, I referred unfortunate events that day as "the curse of the new Spaceship Earth".

So, between the previous and new versions, the new one it's past its prime (if it even had its prime) and and Disney should, nay, must resurrect the prior.

Irons 100%. I always love the first words, "Like a grand and miraculous spaceship...."
Sometimes i go into my room, turn off all the lights, lay n my bed, and listen to the irons narration and soundtrack. All 12 minutes and 23 seconds of it

The whole, choose your future thing is totally dumbing down the ride! At the begining, when it takes your picture, i didnt realize that it was taking my pic, and i just looked at the camera as it was taking the pic, so when it showed me the vid at the end, my face was all messed up! Grrrr.........

Anyways, to sum it up, I went on the soft opening of the new version. I got off the ride, walked right up to a CM working the unloading station, and asked "Why?". She said, "I don't know either."
