I think it would be great if we got Summer Nightastic here at WDW. Alot of people say that WDW is the one that gets all the updates but in my opinion that not true. WDW gets very little updates to certain atractions and shows such as HS's Fantasmic that many people say that its not good even though in my opinion its the best. When any show or atraction in WDW gets updated its very minor and small, it really isent anything to get excited about. WDW will finally be getting a update to Space Mounain when DL has had many updates already done and since WDW is going through some problems due to the economy i dont think Space Mountain will really be getting a big update at all. Summer Nightastic will be great for WDW and if it does so happen that we get it i would be very happy that we are finally getting a major update to our parks.

if WDW were to get Nightastic at the same time DL was two years from now, I hope that they each get their own things. Example: If both parks have seasonal firework displays installed for summer, Disneyland should keep Magical and WDW should have their own Magical-type show with another flying character.

Would WDW be willing to spend the cash for a new, advanced dragon? They might... but I don't think so.

Anyways, we shouldn't be saying "Well, WDW got this, and DL hasnt got anything" or "DL has so much new stuff, WDW is being left out" because the truth is, we both have some awesome new stuff!

We both have Toy Story Mania, WDW has everest, DL has a HUGE new shoe (world of color) coming in soon, WDW has American Idol Experience, DL has summer nightastic, and to be honest, the park that is really being let out is DLRP. I dont think they've gotten anything new in a while!

So the point of this rant is to say that everyone needs to stop complaining about what they don't have, and start appreciating what they do have. Because if you don't appreciate what you do have, then why bother going at all?

Summer Nightastic was a marketing campaigned designed to entice locals to come back, and keep coming back, throughout the summer. The way WDW does marketing is a completely different paradigm altogether.

You're right, WDW doesn't rely on the locals as heavily as DLR does.

yeah, cause WDW is situated in a private spot.... but if they were to get a Nightastic, then they would have to direct more towards tourists

And furthermore, WDW is looking to cut back on their nighttime entertainment offerings rather than spruce them up & show them more often than originally scheduled like Disneyland.
