I have not been on the WDW version since it was updated but judging from what I saw at Disneyland the new Attic is great but I cannot wait to see the Staircase scene.

i must say i love the new Changing Portraits at the beginning because it adds an eerie sense and because if you listen closely you can hear the sound of the rain hitting the ground outside.

i cant find the shadow playing an old harpsicord in the attic

None of the mentioned.
I'dd say: the great dining hall as first, and the graveyard second.

I voted for the scence' scene cause I love Eleanor Audley's voice. I watched a really old western just because she was in it... haha... lame- I know

I have more than one favorite scene in the mansion.

I love: The staricase scene, the library and phantom piano/pianist, and the new attic scene.

The whole ride in general is so awesome! I love it so much and would love to go on it again.

It seems to me that WDW's Haunted Mansion is more Rolly Crump/Claud Coats-like and Disneyland seems more Marc Davis. WDW is so cool, because it starts off small and rather dark, like just a normally haunted tour through the portrait hallway and library. Then you progress up the staircase and into the corridor of doors, where you know you must be headed someplace interesting. Then you see the ballroom, then enter the attic which serves as sort of the climax for the ride where you narrowly escape a deranged bride. After that, you decend into the graveyard, and up into the mosuleum where you are beckoned to "hurry ba-ack".

Disneyland's misses the entire first part of the ride and just jumps to the corridor of doors. I believe that the staircase, library, mucic room, and portrait hallway (in ride) are important because they sort of do a better job setting the tone.

Oh yes, my favorite scene is the attic because it is very detailed, I love the music in there combined with the morbid vows of Constance. It also contains a lot to see- transforming portraits, a shadow playing a piano, bats, and a bride. It's also scary because you know that this is the place you saw up above you (well, in the story, not actually in the real ride world) when you were in the stretching room. A really cool scene.

The staircase scene because it's fresh new and scary. They should put it in the DL's load area.

The Staircase Scene. Very Escher' Esque. It is so much better than the preceding spider stair case which was a poorly done and very cheap
