Default Time for a new nighttime parade?

Do you think it's time for SpectroMagic to be replaced by a new nighttime parade?

Honestly, it would be pretty cool to see a new parade, but I grew up with Spectromagic. Spectromagic to me is what MSEP is to all those hardcore MSEP fans. What I think they should do is basically make a MAJOR, MAJOR refurbishment to it. I'm talking new units and new Tokyo parade-like technology. DON'T TOUCH THE SPECTROMEN ! They could refurbish the floats in which they are in but don't touch the Spectromen!

The Silly Symphonies unit can get some Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade tech on it. They could have the characters better lit too you can barely see them at times. The Garden Part can get some new floats, they can add a float with Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip with her and of course some better more modern tech. Now the Under the Sea float, they should take away the whole ship environment and make it into an Atlantica themed float or make it into something kinda like the Parade of Dreams Mermaid float with a spiral of fish and dropping water leading up to Ariel sitting on a clam. Just some better theme. They could still have the fish but make them do more than just "swim" in line, they could maybe let them be like the whirly pods in the beginning by being more mobile. Fantasia unit could get some better tech as each float they could add a float themed to the part of Fantasia when there are those angels slash human babies or whatever they are. Now the finale although already great, they should make Tinkerbell a bit more relevant than just on a hidden screen. They should add some other floats too.

Conclusively when I say "better tech" I mean switch from just christmas lights and switch to those lights that Tokyo uses, I just find the lights they use now a bit obsolete. Keep the music, the Spectromen. Oh yeah and the very last float isn't as "WOW" as a last float should be. They should have a float that's bigger and has some more effects. Also they should add some more effects like smoke.

Well that's what I think... I know I seemed a bit harsh but I just rather they do this then watch the parade go.

I would still be upset at the parade leaving. If whatever it is that replaces it tops it then I will accept it. Now what I think is that they should do what they did with MSEP over at TDL. I was simply amazed. The addition of new floats, updated floats and not just updated as new lights but actual better lights and more marvelous "synthamagnetic" sounds. I absolutely love it. Now if they did that with SpectroMagic, it would be epic.

That would be epic! But like said above, SpectroMagic is the light parade I grew up with. I've only been 3 times to the MK and absolutely make sure to go and see Spectro. On my last visit, I got to see it twice.

Spicing it up, sure. But I'll always love the good old "Worlds of Disney" in SpectroMagic.

Oh yes definitley Wonderful World of Disney MUST stay. I grew up with SpectroMagic also and I will be very upset. As I said, SpectroMagic is to me what MSEP is to its major hardcore fans.

I CANT BELIEVE THIS!!!! SPECTROMAGIC IS THE NUMBER 1 PARADE THAT DISNEYWORLD HAS EVER CREATED.......ITS A MILLON TIMES BETTER THAN THE MAIN STREET ELECTRICAL PARADE AND ITS RIGHT NEXT TO FANTASMIC ON MY LIST ON MOST SEE SHOWS AND PARADES. IF SPECTROMAGIC GETS REPLACED NOBODY WILL FIND THE MAGIC KINGDOM MAGICAL ANYMORE!!!!

I dont know to me Spectromagic is simply marvelous but lacking in that upbeat music that makes you want to go back into the park and keep going that seems to be the heart and soul of MSEP, which oddly enough doesn't even show on MS any more anyways.

I think that they need a way to make the magic more upbeat while still keeping that magical atmosphere and as said before updating the technology.

Uhh Flex95... They aren't replacing it as far as we know. Hahaha.

And well the music should be a bit more upbeat but if they don't do anything about it if it actually gets an update, I would have no problem.

I dont think so.....i love the music! It has just the right quality for a nighttime parade. You dont really want Block party bash music (or somthing like that) for this parade.....this is a special parade that takes place at nighttime and the music suits that...i dont think anything should change about this parade, except for some new technology (i.e. Tokyo stuff) but the overall theme, music, and almost everything else should remain the same.....IMHO

Same here. But when I said more upbeat music I meant kinda like MSEP. I still like the grand, and magical music Spectro has. I love this parade I grew up with it.

Yes, in fact I love Spectromagic. Now the technology needs to be updated.
