SpectroMagic made it's last run July 18th

I'm rather upset to say that this is true. I didn't think that July 4th would be my last time to see Spectro.

It's said to move the DCA and DEP will move back to Disneyland Park.
I don't think this makes sense. Opinions?

I hope that they decide to move Disney's Fantillusion to WDW. That would be very cool.
WDW could probably pull if off everytime without all the "mistakes" DLRP makes all the time.

Aww, I didn't know it was ending! I'm happy I saw it while it lasted! Though I thought it was a great show, I do prefer the Elecrical Parade. Is it being relocated to another park?

I'm curious where you got your information... speaking as someone who works parade audience control at MK, I know that people are scheduled to work it tonight. In fact I just left work an hour ago and it was still on tap as of then.

It will be going down in August temporarily while there is work done on the Liberty Square bridge.

I got the info off of mousegeeks.com. I hope they are wrong about the parade moving.

This was my original reaction: Disney thought that since PoD was coming and they had to stop parades eventually, they would go ahead and retire SpectroMagic from the Magic Kingdom and imagineer up a new light parade. IDK..

SpectroMagic is to be moved to DCA & the Disney's Electrical Parade will be moved back to Disneyland Park. I sure hope that I am wrong

It was also said that SpectroMagic was getting new floats put in and some taken out.

remeber that the parade of dreams is going to the MK and disneyland will have a new parade and the Main Street Electrical Parade.

What are you talking about, Spectro is still running until August 15th, when it goes down for 2 weeks for the Liberty Square Bridge Replacement.

In our ongoing quest for continuous improvement, the Magic Kingdom Liberty Square Bridge will be closed from Friday, August 15 through Friday, August 29, 2008, for routine maintenance. The refurbished bridge is scheduled to reopen on Saturday, August 30. During this “Maintaining the Magic” refurbishment, we are reducing the grade on the bridge, making it easier to navigate for the parade vehicles, carts and other hand-pushed assets that will travel across the bridge, once it’s reopened.

While the Liberty Square Bridge is closed for refurbishment, additional entertainment enhancements will be offered to minimize any impact this closure might have on our shows and our Guest experience, including the following:

* In addition to our normal 3pm Disney Dreams Come True Parade, a second Disney’s Dream Come True Parade is planned for 7pm.
* Both Disney Dreams Come True Parades will follow a modified route, traveling from Town Square down Main Street, U.S.A., and circling around the Hub and back down Main Street, U.S.A, to step-off at the Fire House area gate.
* Because the SpectroMagic parade floats are too large for the modified parade route, SpectroMagic will not be performed from August 15-29. However, additional experiences will be offered in the evening, including additional Castle Shows, extended evening Character meet-and-greets in Town Square and additional performances of the Woody’s Cowboy Camp show.
* Wishes fireworks will be performed as scheduled.

It is RUMORED to go to DCA, as well as Fantillusion from Paris is RUMORED to as well. MK has SpectroMagic until 2011, when its contract is up.

And if you got that info from FacnyFace, I highly doubt its true, Ive had talks with him, and most of his info comes from other cast members. He was already wrong about POD coming this year.

And speaking of Fantillusion, what mistakes does DLP make? And note that DLPs version of the parade is a very scaled down from the original Tokyo Disneyland version which had more than 35 units. They had tons of smaller units that were injected between the main ones like Fairy Garden, Fairy Carousel, Bat Grotto, Fire Mountain, and the fountains in the princess ending. Plus, it could never go to MK, some of those units are two long and wide to it MKs route.

Thank for clearing things up lighttech1, you just proved me wrong. I'll take up your advice. But as long as SpectroMagic stays through 2011, I'm thrilled to hear it.

What I meant about the Fantillusion was that I've seen a lot of vids where things go wrong. Sometime's it's a premature show stop to a float stalling out. And the most common one is that the music on the floats and the underliner don't match up.

I was just talking out of order, though. DLRP has a good version of the Fantillusion.

All parades make mistakes. Just the other day, the Toy Story Unit from Pixar Play Parade, its audio wasnt on. Then all of a sudden it started to play the Bugs Life audio, then was quickly shut off.

Oh yes, out the wazoo. Just the other day, the fountain unit had a orstrich fall off of it.

Others include, Chernabogs wings not opening, lights not working. audio not being synced. Althoug DTMF usually never lets that happen, that system is solid as a rock.

Yeah, I've seen Chernabog not working properly, but an Ostrich falling off the fountain float, YIKES! That must have been interesting to see.
