Well, because it is about the children of the world, I see why you'd think it would be there. However, Walt Disney originally wanted this attraction in Magic Kingdom so I think that is where it should stay.

^ My thoughts exactly

When I fisrt saw world showcase, I thoght, "Hey, ISAW would fit great in here!!!"
But then I thought, "Wait. ISAW was intended to be in MK, and that was wat walt wanted so thats where it should stay"

Very true. Though the WS & IASW have similar themes, WS is more of the countries history & culture and IASW is more about the children of the world. It should stay in Fantasyland.

"it's a small world!" was originally intended for the 1964 World's Fair. Epcot was originally intended to be a permanent World's Fair. There is something of a connection there. Unfortunately 45 years later, people have no idea what a World's Fair is anymore. They have no mental understanding of the concept of global unity & harmony that people envisioned in the 1960s & 70s, partly because kids these days grow up believing the 60s & 70s were nothing but the happy hippy days, and some war was going on. They could never make the kinds of connections necessary to really "get" why "it's a small world!" is in Epcot.

Today people see "it's a small world!" as a place where a song repeats itself endlessly, happy little dolls dance around, and now Disney characters are here to make your kids feel all warm & fuzzy inside. They don't get it, so, Fantasyland, for sure.

Even though I see how it can fit into Epcot, I still enjoy it being in Fantasyland.

Although I am never in WDW, when I was there a few years ago I didn't like the placement of the ride in Fantasyland. It seems way too smushed. I don't know if moving it to Epcot would change that. Personally, I'd be fine with moving it if it meant another ride in Fantasyland. It makes sense in Epcot just as much as it makes sense in Fantasyland. So...I wouldn't be against the move but I wouldn't push for it.

After reading that I say keep it in Fantasy land.

even tho that would make perfect sense for that ride i would see the flames form California, because if DL ever got an epcot/westcot i would hate to see that ride move, but yeah that was the original so it would be 10 times worse!

when I was younger, I thought, "Oh since IASW and WS have similar themes, it should move from MK to Epcot!" but as I grew older, I realized WS was realistic, whereas IASW was kind of like the children of the world getting together to do an art project

Actually, even though I am usually really mad when they make changes like this, i would love if they moved it's a small world to Epcot.

I think it might help to keep it the way it was intended and keep the message pure and simple. It would open up more space for another Fantasyland attraction and it would give it room to get a proper face like the DL version. Not to mention if anything can be done to avoid placing those horrible horrible horrible disney dolls in the attraction like they did at DL than I support it.
