I can't beleive they would take that one out! When we go to DL we have to ride Mr Toad at least a few times!

Guys , the ride stayed from 1971-1998 and replaced by a Pooh ride. But, there is a picture of Toad shaking hands with Owl in the Whinnie The Pooh ride and picture of Mole

I loved the ride. One of my childhood favorites. SO much better then the Winnie the Pooh ride that replaced it which has "meh" written all over it.

Well in the Haunted Mansion's Pet Cemetery is a Mr. Toad Tombstone in the far back left.
on the stone it says
Here Lies Toad, It's Sad but true, he wasn't as marketable as Winnie the Pooh...

Well, that's the harsh reality behind the disney attractions. Once their popularity levels go down, they either have to find ways to make it popular again, or face the inevitable closure. I admit, I do miss him at the Magic Kingdom. But as long as he's still at Disneyland, I'm happy.

However, I had to ask someone, why is it that Toad is still in DL but not MK? They said not only do Californians find it popular, but one of Walt Disney's decrees before he died was with the exception of Tomorrowland, anything that was in the park on opening day in 1955 must stay. So then I asked, well then what's the deal with the country bears then? Humorously, they said I guess Florida likes bears.

Don't dispare though. Who knows, maybe they'll re-release The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad and have a bonus feature where you get to watch either official video footage or a computer animated mockup of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride from both parks. And don't say it won't happen. If Universal can re-release Back to the Future on DVD with footage of their ride, then so can Disney.

I've never been on Mr Toad at Disneyworld but I've been on it at Disneyland and just didn't like it that much. Freaked me out as a child more than any other ride in the park for some reason.
