Yes, Walt Disney World does have more character greeting then at Disneyland, and you can also meet and greeting with Tinkerbell. Im not sure you can do that at Disneyland.

I thought they normally didn't have Tinkerbell as a greeting because she would be too life-sized?

There are no Mint Julips in WDW but WDW has lots and lots of funnel cake.

There are a lot of cannibal birds in WDW that eat the turkey legs en mass. At WDW you can go inside and eat inside the castle. At WDW the Main Street train station is much larger and more grand.

Disneyland has Indiana Jones Adventure, Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, and the better Space Mountain.

Just a few noticable things that Disneyland has that Magic Kingdom (Or all of WDW) doesn't... Other than some attractions, Disneyland is also a lot smaller (A lot less feat drag, eh?).

Magic Kingdom has some classic attractions that once lived in Disneyland... Attractions like the Country Bears, Carousel of Progress, and the Peoplemover.

Haha, we were there, and my brother couldn't find the Matterhorn. "where is it?" he asks. We said there was no such thing as the Matterhorn in WDW. "There's no Matterhorn!?"

Disneyland has the Real "Enchanted tiki Room" that Walt loved to personally attend so often..... Walt Disney World has the Hi-jacked version of the Tiki Room with "new managment" that I feel is a dramatic and sad departure from Walt Disney's personal favorite attraction (after all it was the only one that he had HIS name personally added to!)

SpectroMagic is at MK - Disneyland does not have any sort of Electrical Parade (but DCA has Disney's Electrical Parade).

No offense meant, but for your information emma15667, Tinkerbell does not appear in any Disney park at this time however is soon to appear with other fairy friends at both DL and WDW.

The Fantasyland in DL, in my opinion, is much more elegant and timeless than WDW> The exteriors on Fantasyland rides are a lot better too, also in my opinion.

That is true...I've been to DL and WDW so many times I pretty much know all of the differences. I've got a very minor one - Disneyland has a smaller World of Disney Store than WDW. However, the NYC WoD is even smaller...as I know very well.

Here are some of the differences that haven't been metioned.

Scale
DL - A lot of Disneyland, especially Main Street, USA was built using an old movie trick called forced perspective. Basically it means the buildings are normal size on the ground floor, 9/10 scale on the second floor and 5/8 scale on the third floor. Accordingly, a lot of Disneyland attractions (Steam trains, Columbia, etc) are scaled down too.

MK - Most of it is full size consistently through the park. Including the steam trains.

Castle
DL - Sleeping Beauty's castle was built like a real castle and has a working draw bridge.

MK - Cinderella's castle is largely made of fiberglass and the draw bridge doesn't work. But there is a restaurant inside and of course the Dream Suite.

Fantasyland
DL - Most of Fantasyland was remodeled in 1983 to give it more of a European village feel. You'll see the same architecture in the Germany pavilion at Epcot wheich was also created around the same time. Not a coincidence but a metter of convenience.

MK - A lot of Fantasyland still looks like the original DL Fantasyland pre-1983 remodel. Some think it's nostalgic but personally I think it feels kind of cheap.

Pathways
DL - This is very subtle until it is pointed out. Most DL pathways have a curve that don't show you what's around the bend. For example the path from Frontierland to Critter Country or the path from Fantasyland to Frontierland.

MK - The pathways are relatively straight with a clear trail to what's ahead.

Covered Attractions
DL - Many attractions are out in the open where you can enjoy the sunshine.

MK - Some attractions like Teacups and the Tomorrowland Transportation Authority (People Mover) are covered to protect you from the rain.

^ WDW uses just as much forced perspective as DL because they were built the same way. Liberty Square seems espically "forced."
