i wish each castle at every disney park was unique in it's own way. I'm a bit disappointed how the hong kong disneyland castle looks just like the original...now it gets confusing and seems no longer original...

You said it! DLP has the best castle.

I don't think CC at WDW should look like TDL's castle. The WDW one looks more magical. TDL's looks too.. European (no offense).

This might be a crazy idea, and remember that Walt Disney went to extremes and went ahead with ideas that seemed impossible but benefited in the end, but -

what would you think of knocking down the castle as HKDL and rebuilding a new one - one that doesn't resemeble any of the other already built castles?

As much as i love your idea... i would never happen i don't know if you have looked at the HKDL sales reports yet but just a hinter it isn't good, and honestly i was furious when i found out they were duplicating DL's castle it really should be one of a kind.

Perhaps i will put this forward to HK Disney manager when I get a job in disney...I don't know if they'd listen though.

So..did Disney seem to think at all about HKDL castle? Or were they just lazy?

For a successful organisation yoiu have to consider other peoples wants and needs, not just your own.

Besides, thought should've been taken into consideration before constructing the HKDL Castle, such as when people see the image of it, they might automatically recognise it as the original Disneyland park, but now you can't because the HKDL looks exactly the same.

If I ever make it to board of directors or have a influening managing job I may consider this idea...and if it's too expensive to knock down and reconstruct then perhas they should still make changes to it.

I like Cinderella Castle just the way it is. Large, elegant, original design. It has for so long been WDW's icon. Dont change it.

I like it how it is. The Tokyo version is too dark.

Uh... the castle has looked different each of the four times I've been there. But it's still the same castle underneath.

I have to admit, my very favorite castle is Sleeping Beauty's in DLR.

^^

I'm torn between them. Sleeping Beauty Castle is friendly, familiar, cute, and quaint, whereas Cinderella Castle is elegant, beautiful, big, and somewhat overwhelming. I'm not sure which I like more. Cinderella's certainly makes a bigger statement, but lacks that special friendly quality that Sleeping Beauty's has.

Well except for a few celebration decorations & that awful birthday cake, for most of my life it has been gray with blue & gold spires. :D

Uh, I liked that birthday cake they did for the 25th anniversary! (I still have two travel mugs from that trip, too. What happened to those? I tried finding them at DLR during my trip and they had NONE. They used to have tones of them) That was the first time I ever saw the castle; I thought that was COOL! Candy-coated castle!!!!!

^^
The birthday cake is quite a controversial topic in the Disney fan world. I think it wpuld be kind of cool to see it if I went to WDW frequently, but if I went to WDW for the first time and looked down Main Street to see a giant cake, I wouldn't be too happy. ANYTHING beats the awful Jester motif that DLP's castle had for one of its anniversary celebrations.
