Christmas Lights ALREADY on Cinderella Castle - Page 4

ok...lol. I told you before that it is just a RUMOR...A RUMOR...and since this is just a rumor right now then there would be no date for the concert. You automatically assume that it is on the 3rd because the not so scary was canceled. It could be whenever they want to. Just like when they filmed the christmas parade it was in november. Disney did not cancel things because they were filming it, they kept the park open. Like we said before disney is all about suprises. But like i said before, its all a rumor there is no need to get deffensive on it.

Also the crane is here...lol. I walked by it two days ago, i even got pictures of the crane...lol. They were doing something with the castle (and it was not lights....it was in the shape of a box) Where did the whole thing about added lights to the back of the castle come from btw? I never said/heard anything about that...last year they did not do it so i guess it would be cool if they did this year :) (but it would make the castle really really bright...lol)....Also with the christmas decorcations, its not that hard to get them on the castle. I was there one night and the next day they had the recording of the christmas parade they were all up. (and there were not that many to make it all that difficult) I have seen main street go from plain on night to all decked out for christmas the next. It is possible to put things up in one day and down the next.

But to re-instate what i said earlier, it is all just a rumor, just like the whole rumor about them going up for her party stated earlier...But i totally agree with you that they might be going up for something new....new lights makes sense, though i dont understand why they need to go on the castle to see how the lights work, cause if they put so much labor into it and they dont work than they have to take it all down and put it all up again, but that would make sense why they are doing it this early. I just want to say that last year they did not put them up this early...it was in october they did it last year....ok Done :)

No not the those lights. The wash lights that change the castle colors. They use them in conjuction with ice lights. So to see the contrast between the two, they are testing them together. Since the new lighting that was installed on the castle were LED fixtures, LED can be more neonish in color than dichroic, so they want to see how the two srouces of White, and coloed LEDs together would look. They did the same thing on DLs castle, but it was fine, because DLs ColorKinetics ColorBlast 12s and ColorCast 14s arent as bright as the ones installed on Cinderella Castle. The crane was not there two days ago when I talked to techs. So you can kindly back off. If you have pictures, we would like to see them.

The christmas parade has nothing to do with anything. They always film that during park hours.

I have my sources inside, that tell me lots of things. They shall be nameless as they could get fired. You should know that, remember you NDA clause in your employment agreement.

Yes it is possible to do that, but I highly doubt the would do that just for her. IF they were to film it for christmas they would use the one day during the two, that they shoot the stage stuff for the christmas parade.

If it was in the shape of a box, it was the dimmer rack for the lights. There are 6 installed on the castle tied into the 3 phase lighting system, already in the castle, used for the lights. There are also custom DMX boxes that are used for the lights to time them.

The reason for the 3rd is not known to anyone right now, not even to me, and I'm pretty well connected. I just used that because it was the only date making sense to what you were saying. If they were to shoot something early, and that date was cleared already, it would make perfect sense. Don't always look at something as one sides, everything has two or more sides. I never said anything about it not being a rumor. I just clearly stated why it would be logistically impossible.

Its kinda tough to take in your info since you are new, jumped in and said the lights were going up for Mileys birthday when a press release came out the next day saying it was being held at DLR. I asked you a question in another thread to what dept you worked in (Attractions, merch, parades, entertainment, tech sevices, foods, cast costuming, show support, entertainment costuming, maintenance, custodial, etc)

Just to confirm, the crane is indeed there. I've seen it with my own eyes for the last few days, and in fact we were talking about it at work today.

See that makes all sense..but just to let you know, i did not start the rumor about the castle lights going up for her birthday...that was someone else....It was HMF...I just came in and said it all made sense. I did put the rumor about the lights going up to be used for her to have a small concert for it to show during christmas time...but i stated in that thread that it was just a rumor..i never said fact in anything...

You keep assuming that I think you are saying its fact. I am not, I am just clearly stating in my posts why its not possible. You first said that it was for Miley's birthday, then quickly changed your answer after the PR came out saying it was at DLR to it was for a concert.

Things just got much worse. They have started putting up Halloween decorations on Main Street. When are they going to learn that Halloween is in October and Christmas is in December.

OHHHH and HMF you were so right when you first started this topic.....Miley Cyrus was going to have her party at disney world......It turns out that we could not supply all the things she wanted so she moved it to disneyland....And yes i did check this out between the entertaiment department and managers......So technically you were correct!

I am not sure whether you are being sarcastic or serious. If you are being sarcastic, The Cyrus thing was a rumor. If you are being serious I do not understand why the Magic Kingdom could not supply everything she wanted considering it is much larger than Disneyland.

They could supply everything she needs. MK Services as a full Technical Services facility in NSA thats filled with lighting, sound, staging, rigging, everything. Props could supply decorations, even holiday services could produce stuff for the event. Disneyland on the other hand rents most of its equipment from PRG and CalStage. They even truck in outside food and beverages to handle events. WDW on the other hand does not have to do that. They have a large enough stock to cover any event.

I highly doubt that MK couldnt supply everything she needed. Plus DLR is using it as a marketing plot for next years promation. Magical Celebrations.
