My review of the parade can be found here:

The Happiest Blog on Earth: "Celebrate a Dream Come True" Parade- A Review

As you can tell, I have mixed feelings on the parade. Comments (both here and on the blog) are welcome!

The link doesn't work. I love the music to the parade, but using the parade floats for the 3rd time in a row is a little too much. It's a new campaign, spend some money for once.

*frowns* I like the music for the DDCT parade so much better. I watched it in November when I went to Florida, right near Splash Mountain, and it was so catchy and adorable. I love the lyrics too, they make me feel like magic can really happen! I have an mp3 of the song, and listen to it every day. Recently I watched the CADCT parade on youtube, and was disappointed. Then again, it may have changed since that video.

You have DDCT? Where?! I've been looking everywhere for that one (it does really stay with you). I'm also looking for the parade-stop for the new ones.

I have heard many rumors that this parade will soon be getting some major TLC.

Supposedly, the villains float will be removed from the parade the reason I "think" is that since we all know that WDW Entertainment is quite cheap, they will remove this float to kind of give way for more characters out in the street and some better show stops. They say that some choreography will be somewhat tweaked. As far as characters go they say some characters from the Disney Dreams Come True Parade will be coming back.

Now before I begin stating my opinion I would like to say I agree with BPB Fan about having actual confetti instead of having party goers throw them "magically" from their hands. Maybe mount some confetti throwers on the floats? Maybe they could also have some banners like in the Parade of Dreams I just think they are better.

Alright so what do you think about this?

Honestly I am fed up with this 9+ year old Dreams Come True Parade. WDW Entertainment has to stop being cheap and start providing the fans and guests with some quality entertainment. Sure, I understand floats cost a lot, but what they can do is basically remove the outside decor and props away from it, keep the insides of it and create a new float from there. They seriously have to improve their entertainment in general and stop the cheapness by the 40th Anniversary(which I pray will happen) or they will surely begin to lose fans and guests alike.

The float loops leaked a while ago, plus the rehearsal CD when the parade was converted to CADCT.

Alright, someone liked one of my ideas.

Overall, the music is good. I honestly love to listen to it (Peter Pan is my favorite, plus the Show Stop), but it's the parade itself that has the problem.

Thank you! I get that the economy is really bad and people are traveling less, but someone tell WDW PLEASE change the floats! Those floats are drastically old and need some replacement.

Good point DisneyParksFan112, why not just replace the float bodies and keep the drive units? That's okay, but adding two new floats.. excuse me, changing two floats isn't exactly what I call magical for the 3rd time in a row. Surely if you can dish out the MISICI Street Party, you could use some revenue to spice up CADCTP.

Hopefully those changes happen DisneyParksFan112!

Yes hopefully. Either that or Disney has to change a new parade. Hopefully by the Big 40th. Why is WDW so cheap? I miss the good ol' days. You remember the Remember the Magic Parade? *sigh* I miss that parade(because it was not cheap!) Although most of the floats were recycled, they were well remodeled well and people could barely notice, except the Aladdin float the inflatable Genie gave it away. Oh and that castle float that's been here for over a century. You remember the original Share a Dream Come True Parade with the show stops? It was so great and at times pretty emotional. I miss those days.

Actually, I've never seen the real Share A Dream Come True Parade with the show stops.. I sure wish I could have been to WDW while they were still showing.

Does anyone have any videos of the show stops?

Now I don't know if you can link to other sites on this forum. So I'll just say you can find some short videos over on LaughingPlace. It's truly a wonderful show stop.

I know they ceased to show them because of an unfortunate incident that occurred a few years ago, 2004 to be exact, but I don't get how that incident had anything to do at all with the show stops... Oh well.

So yeah back on topic. I keep hearing that rehearsals are going on for this "renewed" parade. Anyone have an inside scoop or know anything at all about this? Please and Thanks!

They had that version going on when I was on my CP. I actually video taped the whole thing, but unfortunately I don't have those tapes here. And honestly, the music for the show stops was cool, but unless you were one of the kids out in the street, there wasn't much to it.

They are going on now! Yesterday when I was opening tower at Splash, when one of the cameras behind the show building popped up, I could see all the performers out in the street rehearsing. It was my morning entertainment. I heard May 3 is a tentative start date for the changes.

Wow. That's great! Nice to see they are going along with it. Did you see any actual rehearsing or did you just hear it.

Well, at least us WDW'ers... have some glimmer of hope...

What exactly happened...? I don't remember hearing anything about anything drastic...

The most drastic as it gets is the removal of the Villain Unit and adding more fur characters to the route for interaction.. Maybe some costume changes? LOL

On February 11, 2004 a person in a Pluto costume was killed. It was in the backstage area right when his float was about to come out. He was smashed by the float...

They say that since then Disney has been taking much more safety measures and have been more cautions, thus ending the Share a Dream Come True Parade show stops.

I could see dancing, but it's a video-only camera, so I couldn't hear anything.
