Default Why can't I post a link or image until I make 5 posts?
In an effort to cut down on the number of spamming posts, we've implemented a rule where people cannot post a URL or an image until they have at least 5 posts.

In addition, email addresses don't parse and are replaced by a link to the user's profile (with the option to private message). First, this protects the privacy of minors from sharing their email address. It also cuts down on potential spam a user may get by posting their email link in a public forum. Also, it discourages advertisers who link using their email address.
