I have been borrowing the JVC GR-HD1U from my work. Same size as the Sony PD150. Although I would much rather have the Sony. It is one of our old cameras we are trying to get rid of. They make great dust collectors.

I'm thinking of getting a Sony HC96 tomorrow. There are a few recent cons I found that have been bugging me but I think it's pretty good. It's a mini-dv, and even though I didn't think I could ever stand having one of those straight to dvd ones, it seems that's where sony's moving towards until they get their HD models out. So the thing that's nagging on me is how the DVD ones are getting all the improvements instead of the tape ones. Oh well. I'll have to come to a decision heh.

I use a Sony TRV30 Mini-DV (PAL, cos I'm in England).

I guess in a few years time when I get myself a nice HD TV (I'm waiting for 1920x1080p 46"+ LCD panels to be generally available over here) I'm going to need to upgrade, but for SD single-CCD, it's about as good as I've seen.

I use a Sony Digital 8 TRV-840. Rugged and shoots great footage for a single-chip camera.
Everyone was saying Canon but I had one of those A1 Digitals for shooting Hi-8 and had a problem with it. I found Canon to be very ineffectual. that's why I went Sony this time.

I've got a Sony Digital 8 as well, but I think it's a little older. I've been wanting to get a 3CCD digtial, but I'm concerned about their inability to shoot anything in anything even thinking about being close to 'dim' lighting.

Tony, is that really your camera?

Hey Tony, did you ever get your HD (Sony FX1)? I was wondering how you liked it. I was thinking of going HD soon but low light capabilities has me worried.
