^^ Sad, but true, soapbox aside.

They do let you in, but if you work there they have those restrictions, like hair and facial hair, jewelry, etc.

I have to agree with the earlier post too. I believe this man has made a mistake making such a big ordeal over this. Seriously, what employer in their right mind would hire him for a job after this? I would not and most people who don't want to end up paying this guy millions won't either. One post said that plain and simple it is discrimination. I do not believe it is and I have to ask, if Disney will bend their company guidelines for this man, what will everyone else expect? What about the person who want to bring her pets because they are part of her "religion" or the person that cannot wear a Disney uniform and needs to dress in his Gothic clothing because it is his "religion", what about the person who wants Disney to offer up a prayer room because they have a "Religion" that requires them to pray several times each day. When you start lifting rules and policies for one person based on their "religion", people begin to go crazy thinking they are entitled to the same "rights" and before you know it, Disney just isn't Disney anymore. This is all a situation of CHOICE. If you do not like your works rules and policies, go elsewhere. If you have to wear a uniform you won't like, don't seek employment at that particular place. If your religion doesn't permit for things that conflict with a company or corporations policies, common sense should tell one that they should not seek employment there. I think it is painfully clear to 99% of people that this is a money stunt. SOOOO sad! I hope Disney will stick up for themselves and not bend for people like this. Just keep in mind too, that when people like this sue Disney, we Disney lovers actually pay the price. When they lose money to these things, ticket prices as well as food and shopping prices increase. I hope Disney wins this one!

This is very simplistic, and is not a realistic view of what this is all about. It is not about what you believe, it is about what the law is.

And the laws in this country do not allow anyone to do anything that they want to just because they believe in what their own version of religion is. Religions can allow people to believe that some very strange things are okay.

Because some Mormons believe that their men should be allowed to date and marry multiple pre-teen girls, should that be allowed? According to the above statement, it should be.... But, quite fortunately, the law curbs what these people can do.

Because someone believes that their neighbor has committed voodoo on them, should they be allowed to go over to that neighbor's house and kill him to "lift the curse"?

Because someone believes that the "Power of prayer" can cure diabetes, should they be allowed to deny their children medical attention, thus allowing them do die of a very, very treatable disease?

If, due to his religion, a man believes that women should always be subservient to men, should that man be allowed to sue a company if a woman at that company is in a position of power to tell that man what to do?

Because some guy believes that he has to wear a giant cloth piled up on his head, should everyone break every dress code at a billion-dollar entertainment company to make him happy? If we feel that we should accommodate this guy, what about the strange man who believes that he has to wear a foil helmet at all times to stop aliens from beaming voices into his head? Is there any difference? I mean, after all, he believes it...

The "Everyone should bend over backwards for me because I have a direct line of communication with the ruler and creator of the known universe" bit is very annoying, and in my opinion, it should be the first step in a trip to the local nut house.

Laws are here in part (see the First Amendment) to prevent us from having Imams, Priests, Rabbis and other religious leaders from getting too big for their britches. And it's also here to prevent some wacko from thinking that the world should revolve directly around him.

Like I said.... watch for the world land speed record to be set when he goes flying out of those courtroom doors. I bet that it's already over. If I were a judge, I would refuse to even hear such a ridiculous case, and I would make Mr. Litigation pay Disney back for any and all court costs and attorney's fees.

That'd put a bee in his bonnet (pun intended, lol). Maybe if he finds himself in massive debt due to his looking for a golden ticket, he'll finally take off his hat and get a job.

Please do some research before you say things like this. Mormons DO NOT PRACTICE POLYGAMY. They haven't since the 1800s, and at the time they were, they weren't the only ones. The FLDS group (ie Warren Jeffs) is not part of the "Mormon" church. They are dissenters that started their own religion. The LDS church denounces all acts of Polygamy and wholeheartedly supports the law. Please do not post ignorant things like this, as I can tell you there are a LOT of Mormons reading this thread.
Further, if a "Mormon" member is found to be practicing polygamy, they are excommunicated. Effectivly rendering them "non-Mormon".

Whoah Whoah do some research before you say things like this. I am 100% Mormon and I am happily married to ONE person. I absolutely do not agree with Polygamy, and neither does my church for that matter. Many people assume that Polygamy is what the Mormon church practices, but this is quite false. That is a different church that left ours along time ago.
Sorry to go off topic, but people should really watch what they say. Some things might be offending.
